Job Summary:
Work closely with the Production Manager and have the ability to resolve conflicts within the scope of personnel, and work assignments, demonstrate leadership to create a positive work environment. Ensure the safety of all employees while manufacturing quality products, according to customer product specifications. Schedule production days through ERP and review job orders before approval in the system for accuracy. Maintain efficiencies (KPIs), SOPs, and utmost standards set forth by customer specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Oversee shift by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring work progress, and ensuring production targets are met in adherence to the production schedule while appraising job results.
• Ensure that equipment is running efficiently and quality products are being produced.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
• Monitor and document the key indicators (KPI) defined by the given group production, quality, efficiency, and other business lines within its competence.
• Submit packaging and ingredient materials requests to acquire the necessary materials to fulfill upcoming production orders in accordance with the weekly production schedule.
• Provide weekly inventory reports.
• Create, verify, and close production orders on the ERP system.
• Demonstrates support of Food Safety, Food Defense Initiatives, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ensures adherence to all quality requirements including HACCPs & SOPs.
• Assist the Production Manager during the interview process and employee evaluations that pertain to their shift.
• Follow established safety rules and regulations and work with the Safety Manager for adherence to safety policies; Monitor and reinforce a safe work environment by following safety guidelines set in place.
• Participate in creating a Continuous Improvement environment by improving products, services, or processes to reduce waste while striving for efficiency and profitability.
• Ensures compliance with our audit standards set forth by our 3rd party Audit Certification body and enforces procedures outlined in our Food Safety Plan and Food Defense Plan and any other programs that support the food safety and quality systems.
• Conducts incident Reports, and collaborates with management on reviewing processes and suggesting solutions for preventative actions.
• Understand and maintain all systems in place, including the implementation of new systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management including overtime as needed to meet customers' needs.

Experience:
• 2 years experience in a leadership/supervisory role in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years of experience with working knowledge of high-speed machinery.
• Some experience in automated process control, ERP, and sanitation is preferred.
• Food manufactory training preferred.

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or similar – desired.
• Food safety concepts – desired.
• Relevant work experience considered in lieu of degree - preferred

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Skills Required
