Based in Delft, we focus on enabling higher performance and reducing critical material dependencies in the battery supply chain.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Production Supervisor (Quality) to lead quality control operations during production campaigns.
You’ll ensure that sampling, testing, and data flow are executed accurately and on time so that production decisions can be made with confidence.

In this role, you act as the interface between CarbonX and our production partner’s QC teams, translating quality results into clear, actionable insights for the CarbonX Production team.

  • Lead QA/QC activities during production campaigns with a strong QC focus.

  • Receive and prioritize samples for testing.

  • Ensure correct sampling, labeling, testing, and data integrity.

  • Supervise lab personnel on-site.

  • Distribute quality data to Feedstock and Control Room Supervisors in real time.

  • Monitor trends, deviations, and quality risks.

  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

  • Troubleshoot quality issues related to feedstock preparation and production.

  • Prepare QC protocols, decision trees, and testing plans.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement after each production campaign.

  • Support the Head of Quality during audits.

Why join?

  • Impact: Your work directly influences production decisions, process stability, and product performance.

  • Growth: Be part of a scaling production environment where you help shape quality systems and operational standards.

  • Team Culture: Work closely with Production, Feedstock, and Control Room teams in a highly collaborative setting.

  • Innovation: Support cutting-edge materials and processes at the intersection of lab and industrial production.

  • Benefits: Competitive salary, commuting allowance, 25 days of annual paid leave, 30% ruling support if applicable.

Who you are

You’re a detail-oriented and technically strong quality professional who thrives in production environments.
You combine analytical rigor with practical judgement and communicate clearly across lab and operations teams.

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in QC/QA within production environments.

  • Experience with batch-based QC operations.

  • Background in petrochemical, carbon materials, or analytical chemistry.

  • Experience with techniques such as UV-Vis, pH, Karl Fischer, rheology, or carbon powder characterization is a plus.

  • Strong focus on data quality, integrity, and reproducibility.

  • Ability to translate lab results into operational decisions.

  • Comfortable working between lab and production environments.

  • You are comfortable travelling abroad for production projects for up to 3–4 months per year.
