As the PPG Operations Specialist of ECoat You will lead all three shifts in ECoat working first shift with direct reports. Reporting directly to the Ecoat Operations Manager you will have managerial responsibilities for production employees in a designated production area during the multiple shifts. You will ensure equipment operation by coordinating repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques, and recommending improvements. You will provide daily monitoring and optimization of manufacturing information through data analysis, and production record compilation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned Production Area, ensuring a focus on safety, risk reduction, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee daily operational tasks, analyze systems, and work with production to identify and recommend strategies to improve efficiency.

  • Guarantee production set up to achieve success and achieve manufacturing goals by setting clear job expectations, planning daily tasks, assigning resources, and monitoring performance outcomes.

  • Recruit, mentor, counsel, and coach employees to be high a performing and engaged team.

  • Manage production progress, including workflow optimization, staffing, and resource allocation; implement cost-saving measures and recovery strategies during changes.

  • Perform daily admin tasks for production to maintain accurate timecards, inventory, training, audits, batch tickets and ERP transactions.

  • Ensure performance and procedures are performed to standard for safety, customer, production, and union.

  • Maintain accurate shift production records and compile reporting results of the processing flow.

  • Collaborate with team to address and resolve employee problems, using data analysis to identify solutions and recommend actions.

  • Complete small projects for continuous improvement of safety, equipment, and process flow.

  • Support larger main projects in production area.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and experience in a relevant field. High school diploma or equivalent education required.

  • Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing environment, with at least 5+ years in a lead role or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in Workday desired; digital skills including, data analysis and visualization, communication.

  • Experience managing processes, change management, implementing process changes, resource planning, and production scheduling.

  • Experience with automation and MES systems.

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Methodology, process improvement projects, root cause analysis, and 5S practices.
