Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong leadership and team management skills in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
- Knowledge of Just-In-Time (JIT) communication systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Ability to support operational efficiency through technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead safe and efficient production operations while supporting supervisors in employee management and daily problem resolution.
- Lead and develop employees through open communication, fair and consistent policy administration, performance management, training, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Drive operational excellence by improving first-run quality, productivity, labor efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure delivery, quality, and service expectations are met. Champion workplace safety by enforcing policies, conducting inspections, reviewing incidents, and holding supervisors accountable for safety performance.
- Ensure compliance with Magna Employee Charter principles, Quality and Material Management Systems, ISO 14001 requirements, and company objectives.
