POSITION

Proudworks is seeking a Production Services Supervisor to provide direct supervision and training for workers with disabilities in a light manufacturing work center environment. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations, including quality control, materials handling, and recordkeeping in accordance with company standards and regulatory practices. You will work closely with other team members to meet consumer goals, ensuring a safe and productive environment while performing direct demonstration training for a client population diagnosed with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

JOB DUTIES

  • Provide direct supervision and specialized training to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities within a manufacturing setting.
  • Manage production recordkeeping and maintain strict quality control standards for all work center outputs.
  • Oversee material control, including shipping, receiving, and the manual handling of production supplies.
  • Maintain safety awareness and ensure all health and housekeeping standards are met within the facility.
  • Operate company vehicles as required to support departmental needs and logistics.
  • Adapt to and learn a wide variety of job requirements to effectively lead diverse production projects.
  • Move consistently about the production floor to provide hands-on assistance to clients and staff members.
  • Perform direct demonstration training to help clients reach specific goals.
  • Execute physical tasks such as bending, crouching, squatting, and pushing wheelchairs without restriction.
  • Complete other duties as assigned or required to support the overall goals of the production department.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to communicate effectively and function as a collaborative member of a professional team.
  • Proficiency in performing duties within a labor-intensive assembly and light manufacturing environment.
  • Physical stamina and upper body strength to move or assist clients with disabilities.
  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods, defined as over 8 hours per day, while walking consistently to meet job requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on some occasions as part of daily production tasks.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record for insurability purposes.
  • 6 months of experience in logistics, retail, or customer service is preferred.
  • Ability to be licensed and certified as needed for specific areas of responsibility.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
  • Previous experience with forklift operation or supervisory roles is considered a plus.
