The Role 

The Production Scheduler will be responsible for converting long-term production plans into daily and weekly production schedules that deliver the long-term plan.  You will take a variety of inputs into consideration to ensure the monthly production plan is achieved.   In this role you will be responsible for making sure the optimal production plan in place to optimize inventory levels and fuel our growth.

Responsibilities 

Production Scheduling: 

  • Convert a monthly production plan into detailed daily and weekly production schedules. 
  • Continuously update and review key data points to ensure the translation of production into hour requirements. 
  • Build daily and weekly shift schedules to ensure hitting the plan, including determining need for overtime or movement of resources. 
  • Drive the allocation of resources to the appropriate department at the right time. 
  • Balance line loading and production scheduling based upon planned or unplanned employee time off. 
  • Optimize the run strategy to maximize throughput to reduce waste (batch sizes/SKU’s to reduce changeovers) 
  • Confirm readiness of all materials to meet production plan 
  • Establish and maintain routings for unit operations. 
  • Leads the build, communication, dissemination, and execution of the site production schedule across all product categories. 
  • Build Flower allocations based on shipments, inventory, and sales strategy. 
  • Diligently review the demand forecast to optimize inventory levels and protect the business from lost sales. 
  • Communicates production schedule and inventory projections actively to site leadership. 
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with site Operation Leadership, Procurement, Supply Chain Planning teams to ensure the delivery of the production plan. 
  • Conduct analysis of supply chain processes, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency improvement. 
  • Implement and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track production attainment. 
  • Stay informed of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to proactively adapt and enhance the overall supply chain strategy. 

 Inventory Management: 

  • Monitors WIP and FG inventory based on shipments velocity and sales forecasts. 
  • Partner with Inventory Supervisor for inventory reconciliation between AFS (Available for Sale) and state-level monitoring system.  

 Qualifications 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment as a Production Supervisor or similar supply chain experience. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook).  Tableau a plus 
  • Initiative-taking, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness 
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with commitment to quality work 
  • High attention to details and due diligence  
  • Adapts and thrives in a demanding and fast-paced environment 
  • Superior communication and people skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally 
  • Understands and complies with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb and the cannabis industry 
  • Consistently operates with an elevated level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information 
  • Ability to anticipate needs, find alternative solutions and be proactive in achieving desired outcomes 
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects 

 Additional Requirements  

  • Must pass all required background checks   
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry   
  • Must possess valid driver’s license  
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
