A Day in the Life: Production & Precision Ag Specialist
- Serve as subject matter expert in diagnostics, calibration, and repair of PPA equipment
- Deliver regional technical support to customers and internal teams, often to include travel regionally to customer sites
- Support equipment deliveries, ensure proper machine optimization, and assist with inspections for both company and customer needs
- Identify and develop measurable revenue opportunities with customers while promoting aftermarket growth and equipment sales opportunities
- Manage time, billing and activity tracking
- Collaborate with Machine Health team and Technical Communicators
Need to Succeed:
- 5+ years as a John Deere field technician with level 3 John Deere Certification plus additional capstone training
- Management/leadership experience highly preferred
- Ability to travel throughout region and/or state on a weekly basis, ability to be insured on company policy and medical DOT card required
- Consistent use of computer/technology systems such as CDK, Expert Connect, Parts Advisor, Service Advisor, JD Operations Center
- Excellent communication skills with customers and service support team, timely billing and work order input, and organizational skills

Skills Required
- 5+ years as a John Deere field technician with Level 3 John Deere Certification and capstone training
- Proven experience in diagnostics, calibration, and repair of precision planting/ag equipment (PPA)
- Ability to travel regionally/statewide on a weekly basis
- Be insurable under company policy and possess a medical DOT card

- Management/leadership experience
