A Day in the Life: Production & Precision Ag Specialist

  • Serve as subject matter expert in diagnostics, calibration, and repair of PPA equipment
  • Deliver regional technical support to customers and internal teams, often to include travel regionally to customer sites
  • Support equipment deliveries, ensure proper machine optimization, and assist with inspections for both company and customer needs
  • Identify and develop measurable revenue opportunities with customers while promoting aftermarket growth and equipment sales opportunities
  • Manage time, billing and activity tracking
  • Collaborate with Machine Health team and Technical Communicators

Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years as a John Deere field technician with level 3 John Deere Certification plus additional capstone training
  • Management/leadership experience highly preferred
  • Ability to travel throughout region and/or state on a weekly basis, ability to be insured on company policy and medical DOT card required
  • Consistent use of computer/technology systems such as CDK, Expert Connect, Parts Advisor, Service Advisor, JD Operations Center
  • Excellent communication skills with customers and service support team, timely billing and work order input, and organizational skills

Skills Required

  • 5+ years as a John Deere field technician with Level 3 John Deere Certification and capstone training
