Job Description

The role will be primarily responsible to lead the site's Sales, Inventory, Operations, and Planning process (SIOP) inclusive of leading demand forecasting and the alignment of capacity to that demand in support of the site's financial plan.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Own and facilitate a disciplined SIOP process
  • Own the demand forecast for the Site
  • Coordinate with and negotiate sales demand and resultant forecasts with Sales team, Customer Service, and Operations POC's
  • Develop process to improve forecast accuracy and identify risks and opportunities.
  • Document action plans and monitor/report progress
  • Establish the site’s annual sales budget
  • Use analytical models and tools that will support forecast development on an extended horizon
  • Provide analytical support on demand that supports high degrees of forecast accuracy over the forecast period
  • Establish KPI’s for forecast accuracy
  • Coordinate material, labor, and equipment demand with functional leads
  • Use SIOP capacity models to drive Labor and Equipment output
  • Document demand drivers and assignable causes to demand changes
  • Supplier capacity and risk management is factored into SIOP models
  • Responsible for reconciling variances to the financial plan with functional leads
  • Supports development of inventory levels forecast (FG, WIP, RM) based on SIOP information in a dotted line matrix to achieve targets adherence
  • Work with functional leads to ensure material supply is aligned with MRP demand information
  • Work with functional leads to identify and mitigate excess inventory / SMO
  • Supports daily site activities
  • Collaborate with production control for establishment of daily/weekly production floor schedules
  • Communicates with internal / external customers when there are significant variations in product demand. (CS/Ops/Procurement/Prod Ctl)
  • Works with procurement to ensure that supply needs are met

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or supply chain
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a vertically integrated manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or automotive
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, forecasting, and analyzing OEM and aftermarket demand, strong computer skills in MS tools and data bases
  • Prior experience leading a SIOP or S&OP process for an operating unit
  • Experience in working and networking through a matrixed organization (BD group, CS, Procurement, Operations) to coordinate and communicate pull forecast data into the SIOP process
  • APICS CPIM or equivalent coursework
  • Lean/OpEx certification(s) a plus
  • Professional certifications (PE, CSP, NEBOSCH, OHSAS etc.).
  • Fluent in English
  • Computer knowledge (Office: Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) ERP Experience
  • Valid US Visa
  • Willingness to Travel
