Job Summary

The Production Planning & Control Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production scheduling process within the unit. The supervisor is also tasked with optimizing labor usage to promote cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency. Through effective leadership and strategic planning, the supervisor plays a crucial role in enhancing production performance and meeting organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of production processes to identify bottlenecks and optimize workflows, ensuring seamless operations that align with demand forecasts.

  • Create and maintain production schedules that balance supply and demand while maximizing resource utilization and minimizing downtime.

  • Track production metrics and performance indicators and implement corrective actions as necessary to address any deviations.

  • Strategically plan labor allocation to ensure cost-effective and efficient use of workforce resources, fostering a productive work environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, quality control, and sales, to align production capabilities with overall business objectives and customer requirements.

  • Supervise and mentor team members, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development within the production planning unit.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, schedule adherence, and resource utilization to management, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Capable of developing and guiding team members effectively.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyze data to inform decision-making and optimize processes.

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to push/pull objects up to 25 pounds.
