Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Production Planner to join our team. As part of the production planning team, you will be responsible for the entire production process, ensuring that products are manufactured efficiently and according to the production schedule. This role requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate the production process, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of production materials.
- Collaborate with the sales team to accurately forecast future demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
- Identify potential capacity bottlenecks in the production process and propose solutions to improve productivity.
- Determine outsourcing requirements based on plant capacity and product lead times.
- Participate in regular production schedule meetings to understand plant performance and resolve any schedule conflicts.
- Ensure accuracy of all production orders.
- Regularly assess the performance of the production process and implement changes as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- APICS certification a plus
- Five years’ experience as a Production Planner or similar role
- Strong knowledge of MRP, production planning and supply chain principles
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet aggressive deadlines.
- MS Office proficiency
