Do you get excited about taking ownership for the planning of a part of a factory in order to secure timely shipment of our most advanced lithography systems? Do you have an education in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration and good organizational and analytical skills? We are looking for a candidate who is good at solving complex planning problems to achieve ASML's business target including the commercial product output and customer service requirement by the most efficient and economical way.

Production Planning is responsible for the transformation of the Masterplan (MPS) into a feasible production plan for all production equipment, monitoring production progress, working with manufacturing personnel, ensuring that all logistical requirements are fulfilled on time and in the most cost-efficient way. 

In conjunction with the Shift Planning department, working within, and understanding the production process, plant procedures, equipment capabilities and flow of goods within the facility by providing ready to execute detailed plans based on all constraints, actual work in progress and buffer status daily. 

The Manufacturing sector within the Wilton Factory (WF) is responsible for the production of EXE, NXE, DUV, and APPS systems. The Production Planner reports to the Manufacturing Planning Manager and works closely with Manufacturing (workstream owners, operators, and TLs/GLs), Sourcing & Supply Chain Management, Material Handling, Warehouse and Production Logistics teams.

Role and Responsibilities
  • - Responsible for planning production for the 13 week horizon, validating capacity performance and driving gap closures on the start plan 
  • - Responsible for the planning, monitoring, and adjustment of production activities so that the agreed master plan is realized with optimized work-in-progress and stock levels 
  • -Manage material availability for planned production activities for the 13 week horizon by mitigating and/or escalating shortages; define and execute structural improvements to prevent material issues in the future 
  • -Roll-up of production progress towards monthly and quarterly masterplan updates, pro-actively identify risks and create scenarios for decision making regarding plan optimization 
  • -Align facilities, manufacturing equipment, tooling and resource plan with capacity requirements and drive timely decision making for capacity extension 
  • -Identify and plan bottlenecks/constraints, correct plan levelling, batch sizing and capacity utilization effectively and efficiently with optimized use of critical resources 
  • -Utilize different planning parameters (e.g. safety time, safety stock, planning time fence) to adjust planning methodology to meet business requirements and optimize production plans  
  • -Initiate and provide input to improve cycle times and delivery processes within the factory 
  • -Participate in the engineering change process and execution to secure an optimal implementation in the factory by reviewing cut over timelines and propose solutions to product lifecycle management and engineering 
  • -Communicate and collaborate with fellow colleagues to ensure feasibility and remove roadblocks 
  • -Navigate and input information in ERP 
  • - Responsible to track key performance indicators, create analysis reports in MS Excel in the form of pivot tables and charts to be presented out to stakeholders, determine root cause analysis and drive actions to improve performance 
  • -Actively participate and present in meetings with stakeholders and fellow planners (utilizing Excel and PowerPoint) 
  • - Be a subject matter expert on 1 or more production planning processes. As subject matter expert be the ‘go-to’ person for the team in case of issues, training and drive structural improvements in the planning team. 
  • - Lead at least one cross-functional improvement project within the fiscal year

Minimum Required Education, Experience, and Skills 

  • - Minimum of two years of experience in planning and/or supply chain in a manufacturing environment 
  • - Minimum of one year experience with SAP or comparable ERP system 
  • - Minimum of two years of stakeholder management experience 
  • - Knowledge of Lean Methodology or other continuous improvement methods 
  • - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including complex functions and conditional formatting with formulas 
  • - Minimum of one iteration of planning for introduction of new products to production 
  • - Must be able to demonstrate exemplary critical thinking and time management skills 
  • - Must be agile and exemplify ownership and accountability   
  • - Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders; peers, customers, natural teams while maintaining a strong customer focus and professionalism 
  • - Demonstrated ability to multi-task with a results driven mindset  
  • - Ability to work independently; as well as part of a team 

Preferred Education and Experience 

  • - Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, supply chain management, or communications 
  • - APICS certifications in manufacturing planning, supply chain, project management, engineering, or master data configuration

Responsibilities: -Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus. -Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. -May require travel dependent on business needs. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. 

Role within the Factory: 

Responsibilities: -Must be willing to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves for entire duration of shift. -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. -The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. -Can work under deadlines. -The environment is generally moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level. -Must be willing to work a compressed work week schedule- twelve-hour long shift and rotating from three to four days a week. -This must include references to day and night shifts for accommodation purposes.
