Job Summary

The Production Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules within the Epicor ERP system to support operational efficiency and on-time customer delivery. This role partners closely with operations, sales, and other departments to ensure accurate scheduling, efficient resource allocation, and smooth production flow.

The Production Master Scheduler monitors ERP data integrity, tracks production lead times, provides order status updates, and identifies operational bottlenecks to improve overall manufacturing performance. This position requires strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain production and resource schedules within the Epicor ERP system.
  • Monitor ERP data accuracy and make corrections as needed to support efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with operations and other departments to maximize resource utilization and production flow.
  • Provide updates regarding priority sales orders, production schedules, and delivery timelines.
  • Evaluate and coordinate opportunities to expedite customer orders when necessary.
  • Track production lead times and monitor on-time delivery performance.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend scheduling or resource allocation adjustments to improve efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling, workflow, and manufacturing processes.
QualificationsQualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of production scheduling experience in a high-mix/high-volume manufacturing environment utilizing ERP software.
  • Experience utilizing Epicor ERP in a scheduling capacity preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Ability to analyze production data and make informed scheduling decisions.
  • Experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred; perforating knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of production scheduling experience in a high-mix/high-volume manufacturing environment utilizing ERP software
  • Experience utilizing Epicor ERP in a scheduling capacity
