Job Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Manager is responsible for leading a dynamic team and ensuring every step of our production floor is smooth and efficient. A natural problem-solver, an energetic leader, and have a knack for keeping everything on track while motivating others, we want you on our team! The Production Manager will be responsible for leading safety initiatives, meeting daily productivity and quality requirements; and maintaining accurate inventory control. This is a leadership position, with hands-on responsibility and accountability for daily production flow and bottom-line results.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage daily operations and planning the use of materials and human resources.
  • Responsible for overseeing Supervisors, Cell Leaders, Process Technicians and Associates to ensure safety, productivity and quality on their shift.
  • Communicate with Teams to understand all operational and quality issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and staffing to ensure that the production schedules can be met.
  • Give direction and support to the Production Supervisors and Cell Leaders, as required.
  • Ensure all Operators are trained effectively on safety, manufacturing process and quality checking aspects of their job.
  • Ensure company policies are adhered to
  • Work with Production Supervisors to co-ordinate activities of the Associates in accordance with daily production schedules and initiate changes to the production schedules, as necessary.
  • Work with appropriate teams to root cause problems that arise effectively and efficiently.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement throughout the organization.
  • Ensure that all equipment and process capacities are being maximized to achieve peak efficiencies.
  • Ongoing understanding of KPI results such as scrap rates, downtime and efficiencies, audit results and findings from both internal and external audits (Quality, Environmental & Safety).
  • Drive scrap and labor efficiency metrics to meet business plan goals.
  • Comply with and ensure all employees adhere to the Employee Handbook and applicable Standards.
  • Other duties, as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 5-7 years experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with a proven track record in a leadership role

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
  • Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing process and dealing with mechanical and electrical equipment is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and self-motivation with the ability to initiate and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and be willing to work overtime, as required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to use data to drive decisions
