Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Production Engineering Manager to join the Propulsion Production Engineering team in North Charleston, South Carolina. The successful candidate will lead an integrated group of engineers and technical employees in Manufacturing Engineering, Liaison Engineering, and CAMs providing support for manufacturing operations.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities within Production Engineering
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and establish operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers, and leads process improvement initiatives
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees
  • Oversees work statement management for engineering rapid response to address open tasks and deliverables
  • Develops relationships with manufacturing and quality teams
  • Promotes and maintains a safe and healthy work environment
  • Provides oversight for the higher Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Interfaces with Operations, Quality, Engineering, airline representatives, regulatory agencies, and suppliers/partners to resolve issues impacting airplane build, testing and delivery
  • Staffs and directs a technical team in establishing group goals
  • Manages budgets effectively
  • Monitors group performance against program and functional commitments while developing technical employees within the group

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 5+ years' experience working in Production Engineering, Structures Design and/or Analytical Engineering or a combination of these experiences

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience in leading or managing teams
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in an Aerospace Production Engineering environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $141,100 - $190,900
