Role Summary: This role involves stapling headers to product pouches according to established standards, focusing on quality and independent performance. Additional responsibilities include palletizing products at designated cartoner stations and managing case feeding through a tape machine. Quality assurance tasks include visually inspecting products, identifying and correcting quality issues, and reporting any product damage or unusual conditions. Occasional duties include assisting with tasks such as making trays, palletizing, and supporting rework processes.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Staple headers to product pouches following established standards, maintaining a minimum of 90% quality accuracy independently.
- Palletize products at the end of Cartoner A and Cartoner B.
- Operate the tape machine to feed FG cases without assistance.
- Conduct visual inspections on all products passing through the station.
- Actively work to reduce and eliminate errors.
- Promptly report any product damage or unusual conditions.
- Identify and correct quality issues, including rework as needed.
- Support additional assigned tasks, such as making trays, palletizing, and assisting with rework activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience
2-4 years of experience in general production line or manufacturing.
Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices
Working knowledge of general safety procedures.
Education
Highschool Diploma or GED.
Interpersonal Skills
This role requires strong communication skills to ensure clear understanding and
coordination with team members and supervisors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a customer-focused approach, actively listening and responding to production needs to uphold quality standards. Effective teamwork and collaboration are essential, as the role involves working closely with others to meet production goals efficiently.
Other Skills
Basic math and reasoning skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Proficiency in using basic equipment, such as a pallet jack.
Physical Requirements
Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and numbering.
Hearing with normal ranges is helpful for normal conversations.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Sitting for extended periods is common but the ability to stand for extended periods of time is required.
Good manual dexterity is required for the use of staplers
