The Role

The Production Artist will join an experienced, efficient and resourceful team that loves Dad jokes and geeking out on Pop Culture. They will be responsible for processing, managing and developing print ready artwork files as well as reviewing, checking Pantone colors ands print quality of strike-off samples.


This role operates from our HQ located in the City of Industry, CA five days a week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Prepare artwork files to be print ready by resizing textile art to correct print scale, selecting Pantone colors and color separating art files
  • Set up art pages/spec sheets w/ sizing and color information as well as manage all updates and revisions as needed
  • Review and comment on vendor strike-off submits by checking color, scale and print quality and providing accurate and clear comments to vendors for any revisions
  • Responsible for maintaining open communication and working relationships with cross functional partners including Design, Product Development and Merchants
  • Performs other job duties as needed
  • Work from office 5 days a week

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience apparel art production within a fashion retail company and/or agency
  • Formal training (certified) and/or educational background in Graphic Arts/Fashion required
  • Expert level proficiency in a MAC based environment, utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Excellent communication skills across all areas
  • Dedicated commitment to ensuring quality and exceeding designer and merchant satisfaction expectations
  • High standards for color and print accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
  • Comfortable working in a deadline driven, fast paced environment. Adaptive to change and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Flexibility to deadline demands and seasonal schedules
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure
  • Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues. Creative and effective problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various printing techniques including pre-production processes, artwork file preparation and requirements for print
  • Background in textile/surface design, ability to create repeat patterns a huge plus
