Job Description

Verisk Financial is currently going through an exciting transformation of its business with the development of a new platformed analytic environment that will support a new and innovative suite of external facing products. Additionally, this initiative is not just about improving and expanding external facing products but changing the way we engage with data and clients – and being at the forefront of our clients’ most critical business decisions. A critical focus of this initiative is to harness insights, strategy and action that lead to measurable impact, leveraging unique data and cutting-edge analytics, powered by a single platform.

The VP, Client Insights Product role will act as one of the key leaders of this initiative, leading the definition, design, development and ongoing management of a new suite of products and capabilities that enable this vision to come to fruition in an efficient, effective and client-informed manner. More specifically, this role will oversee the full suite of reporting and visualization products that help our clients derive insights from our data across multiple financial products (credit cards, deposits, loans) and global markets.

The specific responsibilities associated with this position include:

  • Create the long-term product / solution roadmap including a crisp articulation of the product value proposition and vision
  • Drive the detailed definition and design of the product suite, leading a cross-functional team to develop the business requirements and user journeys
  • Provide oversight for the overall product development process and successful on time delivery working in partnership with the product development and data engineering teams
  • Drive go-to-market activities, working with cross-functional colleagues, including product bundling and pricing, marketing positioning and sales collateral, development of internal and external training to support rollout, and rollout strategy
  • Develop and manage ongoing process for collecting internal and external product feedback, developing and prioritizing the backlog of new product features and bug fixes
  • Perform ongoing market research and competitive intelligence to evaluate market trends, threats, and opportunities which drive the product roadmap
  • Act as the overall Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the product to drive awareness and overall usage across the organization
  • Develop the business case for new product development and lead communication strategy to gain support from executive management team
  • Drive change management process to ensure adoption and optimal usage of the products among the internal teams

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of financial services experience required, with experience in credit cards with large banks preferred but not required
  • Results-oriented with the demonstrated ability to prioritize deliverables effectively
  • Strong ability to influence and able to work across business units and effectively direct work of those they do not manage
  • Ability to successfully lead and execute projects; ability to manage and direct a team of experts and to collaborate with other functional areas or teams in the firm towards a successful execution of project deliverables that meets or exceeds client expectations
  • Capable of defining strategy while also being detail oriented
  • Creative/Builder – can take nascent definition and work to refine and build
  • Self-starter – takes initiative; is proactive
  • Proven interpersonal and consultative communication skills with well-developed presentation and writing skills
  • High degree of data literacy and analytic acumen, specifically within the financial services space
  • Product management experience preferred but not required
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Thrives in a highly competitive environment and is not satisfied unless they and their team are winning and exceeding
