Our Rebellion:

Rebellion Defense builds mission-focused AI products for the defense and security of the United States, the United Kingdom, and our allies. We are a well capitalized, venture-backed technology company that creates software which transforms data into decision advantage.

Our people are passionate about creating a company where technologists empower our military and civil servants to solve some of the hardest problems in government. Rebellion Defense is driven by our mission — but a set of core values binds us together: we hire by them, operate through them, and uphold them in every decision we make for ourselves and for our customers.

Your Rebel Team:

Product:

Our Product Team focuses on how Rebellion designs and delivers the best products for our customers. We work every day with all parts of the company and end-users, to scope improvements, drive adoption, and understand how our products are being used.

  • Our product team is made up of both product and design experts

How you’ll make a difference in this role:

Each day, hackers from China, Russia, and around the globe seek ways to break into U.S. and allied military systems. These attacks target not only the networks supporting DoD missions but also the industrial control systems, operational technologies, and weapons systems themselves. The Department of Defense has acknowledged that insufficient resources exist to manually test all of its critical systems. Rebellion is working to provide automated, continuous adversarial testing solutions that can help secure those systems upon which warfighters depend.

We are seeking a Technical Product Manager who will focus on securing the Department of Defense’s weapons systems. This position is remote with regular travel to customer facilities and Rebellion offices located in Seattle, Washington and Washington, DC.

Rebellion’s Cyber Readiness product suite already contains capabilities addressing the “enterprise IT” networks of the DoD. You will be the Product Manager responsible for expanding these capabilities to include assessing the cyber readiness of weapons systems themselves. You will be responsible for determining the vision for our weapons-focused products and then executing upon that vision. You will work with our customers to understand their biggest needs and envisage solutions that help secure their most critical systems while incorporating these solutions into Rebellion’s broader Cyber Readiness suite.

What your mission is:

  • Define and prioritize cyber readiness capabilities within Rebellion’s products which secure weapons systems in the Department of Defense
  • Find appropriate product-market-fit for weapons systems cybersecurity solutions within the broader Rebellion Cyber Readiness suite
  • Evaluate and understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth
  • Collaborate with other teams (product, sales, marketing) on go-to-market strategy
  • Define product capabilities and lay out product roadmap through definition of Epics, Features, and User Stories
  • Work with Engineering teams in an Agile environment in order to drive implementation of capabilities
  • Observe the performance of Rebellion’s Cyber Readiness products in operations and continuously deliver improvements

You may be fit for this role if your expertise aligns to:

  • Have background as a hands-on operator/red teamer within one or more DoD weapons programs
  • Understand the challenges of securing weapons platforms and in particular, testing such platforms for vulnerabilities
  • Are intimately familiar with the Test and Evaluation processes (Developmental and Operational) surrounding weapons systems
  • Have worked as a Product Manager, particularly within a cybersecurity domain, or have other skills that would allow you to translate complex requirements into product capabilities
  • Have strong interpersonal and communications skills and are comfortable sharing your expertise with others
  • Are a strong, creative problem solver who knows how hard it is to affect change within entrenched bureaucracies but is tenacious enough to make it happen
  • Are self-motivated and comfortable working in an ambiguous environment where paths haven’t always been trodden before

Our commitment to candidate experience:

  • We are a team of advocates for our candidates while building a fair and equitable process.
  • Our team empowers our candidates, business partners, and each other through transparency, honesty, and empathy.
  • We are committed to hiring a unique and diverse team with the shared vision that Rebellion is the go-to AI suite for national defense and security.

  • Next, you’ll dive deeper into your background and expertise with the Hiring Manager for 30-45 minutes
  • Lastly, you will have the opportunity to meet with members across our team for competency focused interviews covering both technical aspects of the role and our company culture.

What we offer you:

The Nature of our Work: (all roles)

We are driving fast change to an extremely regulated industry. Many of the national security programs that are supported by Rebellion’s products operate in secure environments and access to those spaces and the data in them may require an active personnel security clearance. It is a requirement of this position that you are able to obtain and hold a personnel security clearance at the right level.
