Job Description

Supports Strategic Development agenda of strategic and business planning, product development, mergers & acquisitions, strategic alignment of DHL Supply Chain's businesses and various projects.

Supports DHL Supply Chain Americas businesses by providing expert support (process, tools, facilitation, and challenge) for strategic/business planning and acquisition/strategic relationship activities, working closely with sector heads on day-to-day basis providing strategic perspective and, if agreed, assist in delivery of critical business plan initiatives, and defining, assessing, and developing strategic products for deployment in thebusinesses.
• Develop/enhance and facilitate implementation of the business planning process.
• Assist division and sector teams in developing strategies and business plans.
• Lead/assist division and/or sector teams in completing agreed key strategic actions.
• Monitor strategic progress and facilitate successful completion of targeted actions.
• Define, assess, and develop products that will accelerate revenue and profit growth.
• Lead the development of a systematic process to manage product development, from idea creation to delivery and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Manage acquisition and partnering strategies/objectives
• Identify and vet target companies that increase the scope and scale of DHL Supply Chains' capabilities, including industry domain experts, consultancies, and financial advisory firms.
• Assists with establishment and growth of strategic partnerships.
• Identify potential acquisition targets
• Assist with modeling and valuation
• Lead due diligence process
• Preparing projects papers and presentations.

Required Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, English, Logistics or related field required
• MBA, preferred
• 10+ years of experience with real supply chain issues for company(s) in one of our sectors required
• 7+ years of progressive experience in at least one of the following:strategic planning/analysis, account management, or acquisitions/strategic partnerships required
• Experience as a management consultant or investment banker or working in a strategic role in supply chain function, preferred
