As a Sr. Product Manager, you will help build platform capabilities that unify products and ensure faster iteration for our teams, to bring digital experiences that improve health outcomes for consumers/members at a scale few other companies can match. As part of the Platform Product Team, you will report to the Director of Product and work with the scrum team, experience design, and an array of internal and external partners, garnering their perspectives and requirements throughout the evolution of the product
You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Guide a roadmap through the capability life cycle of strategy, OKR/KPI alignment, definition, and delivery
  • Own the creation of features, requirements, and user stories. Participate in Agile Scrum process to ensure business vision is being accurately implemented and meets market expectations
  • Work with our line of business stakeholders to define/design industry leading consumer-facing digital solutions, and ensure alignment with the Product Manager's business and product plans (e.g., capital/funding commitments, revenue commitments, capabilities, functional impacts, cross functional roles)
  • Work across teams (e.g. engineering, product, experience design, content, sales) and build partnerships to solve a myriad of complex user experience problems in creative, thoughtful, and scalable ways
  • Oversee the development of your set of product features and see them completed and deployed into the production environment
  • Work with cross-organizational product managers to understand their strategic priorities, and keep your Features in alignment with organizational goals

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on product management experience
  • Experience working with engineers and designers to create great user experiences
  • Experience with scrum and agile software development processes
  • Technology experience: you don't need to code or draw an architecture diagram from scratch but you do need to know, and be able to explain, how your product works from a technology lens
  • An impetus to start with consumers needs (jobs-to-be-done) and work backwards to solutions
  • Proven understanding and can explain the technical aspects of your product in order to refine and advance its features


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating priorities and contributions of a network of non-technical Web content and project stakeholders from across a large, diverse organization
  • Experience delivering Web experiences that meet user needs based on usability research, UX design and information architecture principles, and product management methodologies
  • Experience working collaboratively at all levels and across business lines using influencing skills
  • Experience in other interactive and digital industries such as retail and financial services
  • Familiar with secure messaging, search, ontology management, adobe experience manager, content fragments, content-as-a-service, and related technologies.
  • Fluency in Web technology, including front-end technology, back-end technology, and mobile applications

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
