Yahoo Preferred Network is a first-class global Native advertising platform that serves Native advertisements on Yahoo properties such as Yahoo Homepage, Sports, Finance, Mail, AOL and external publishers sites such as Apple, Microsoft and Samsung. The Gemini team is building next-generation technologies to enrich our advertiser and user experience through complex scalable ad platforms, with ever growing and interesting challenges; and to integrate and onboard with world class publishers such as Microsoft, Apple, Samsung, Fox News, Ebay, ESPN, ABCNews, and etc. We are key contributors to Yahoo's revenue and our product managers get to own and drive incremental contributions to the top line at Yahoo.
A Lot About You
We're looking for an impressive individual who is passionate about all aspects of product management, is innovative, highly organized, and communicates well with internal and external stakeholders. At Yahoo, PMs are responsible for creating a team culture that conceives, designs, and ships great products. You do this by modeling ownership and accountability, superb team leadership skills, humility, and curiosity. As a PM you understand, inspire, and focus your team(s) using great listening skills, influence abilities, and crisp, effective communication. You complement these skills with technical knowledge that informs your judgment regarding timelines, scope, quality, priorities, and trade-offs. In the end, you are the expert on how products are designed, used, measured, improved, and generate revenue. You support this expertise with a keen ability to break down large, complex problems into well-defined, manageable problems, and an ability to use data to inform your judgment.
Your Day
  • Work with advertisers, agencies, publishers and internal sales teams to learn their pain points and develop a roadmap of ad formats that improve ad performance and user engagement
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, customers and designers about ad formats product ideas and feature requirements
  • Research and specify product requirements based on customer interactions, competitive analyses, and other data sources / analyses
  • Define product requirements/user stories and launching new product capabilities using Agile methodology
  • Conduct experiments and evaluate results based on KPIs that drive business growth and engagement
  • Work with engineering to understand the underlying technologies & trade-offs needed to put high quality solutions in place
  • Lead an agile engineering scrum team(s) to deliver value for customers quickly while iterating towards your long-term vision

You Must Have
  • An eye toward customer centricity

  • Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to think independently.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills (written, verbal)
  • 4+ years experience in a tech company in a related position
  • An ability to multitask, organize & lead complex projects, detail orientation, and be able to summarize
  • Experience delivering products using Agile / Scrum software development & Engineering practices
  • Experience working with teams (Marketing, Sales, Design, Research, Support, etc.) and GTM processes
  • A broad understanding of web & internet technologies, application development tech, and IT infrastructure
  • Bonus for experience with Machine learning concepts, understanding of the execution of machine learning algorithms and interpreting results

If hired for this position in Colorado, the compensation range for this position is between $105,375.00 - $175,625.00. The compensation may vary depending on your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include additional incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, plus equity incentives. Yahoo provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, retirement, company holidays, vacation, sick time, parental leave and an employee assistance program.
