How this Role Impacts CastleBranch and its People

Seeking seasoned and energetic senior product manager to lead the product strategy that solves significant problems for our target industries. You are an avid learner of new technologies, best practices, and/or processes that can/should be incorporated into the product to best solve the problems we intend to address. You are driven to deeply understand how your assigned product grouping integrates, inter-operates with other CastleBranch product groupings to drive all product strategies forward. Your learning is rapid, regular, and only outpaced by your execution of building and improving products. You are passionate about providing unbeatable and sustainable value to our clients through the combination of SaaS and managed services. You will drive theproduct grouping through every stage of the product lifecycle, acting as the single-source of truth, subject matter expert, ultimately accountable for success against metrics through empowerment, not power. This role is an exciting opportunity for a deeply experienced product management professional who wishes to be at the heart of a rapidly expanding software as a service provider. You will report directly to the VP, Research and Development and collaborate with a community of other product managers and department heads.

Areas you will Impact

  • Establish and refine a product vision focused on creating differentiated and impactful experiences that address the requested and unarticulated needs of customers across various profiles.
  • Collaboratively ensure that product strategy is actionable and supports overall development strategy, corporate and go to market strategies, along with annual corporate strategic objectives.
  • Champion the cohesive vision and strategy throughout the organization.
  • Effectively work in a fast-paced environment and proficient in working not only at the strategic level, but also tactically day-to-day by diving deeply into business, product, and technical domains.
  • Demonstrate product ownership throughout lifecycle. Including but not limited to profit and loss, strengthening product value proposition, driving adoption, proactively supporting retention, etc.
  • Create, update, manage and be accountable for evolving product roadmap. Evangelize product portfolio and roadmap both inside and outside the organization.
  • Define objectives and key results, including but not limited to user-oriented and business-oriented, for release(s) with the teams and key stakeholders to ensure that together we can learn from and celebrate measurable, impactful outcomes.
  • Engage with customers to understand and document their business challenges, testing and refining product and services strategy. Ability to travel 10-25%.
  • Ensure the values of our customers are effectively woven throughout the product. These include varied market segments such as prospective employees, students, community members, enterprise accounts, institutions of higher education, healthcare conglomerates.
  • Be fully versed in how experiences are being delivered to our customers and how those experiences are performing against established goals.
  • Perform market research about relevant products and competitors; appropriately communicating findings within product and go to market strategy communities.
  • Stay up to date with the rapidly evolving technical landscape to inform forward-looking roadmap, leveraging innovation and best practices to responsibly address customer needs.
  • Collaborate across the organization to ensure timely, high value product releases.
  • Provide clear direction to all stakeholders ensuring thorough alignment of the requirements to be delivered on that will provide maximum impact and meaningful value.


  • Motivate and develop direct reports, act as mentor to team members, be an evangelist across the organization.
  • Guide micro-level tasks and actions, and macro-level visions and strategies, to drive teams to achieve the ambitious objectives required to create and improve highly scalable and sustainable products. Balance speed with quality of execution.



Key Skills and Experiences

  • 7-10+ years of experience in software product management, ideally creating SaaS and/or managed services products for web and/or native applications.
  • Experience with several successful offering launches as a product manager. Including but not limited to vision development, roadmap creation, discovery, product testing methods, pricing strategies, ROI calculation and measurement, creation of value propositions and communication materials, and KPIs.
  • Demonstrated experience in translating research and feedback into roadmaps that drive measurable results, prioritizing based on data and evidence.
  • Experience in leading product development teams to include product managers, design, architecture, infrastructure, development, testing, project management, vendor relations, etc.


  • Excellent organization, analytic, problem-solving, active-listening, and decision-making skills. Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Have experience with structured, hypothesis-driven product improvements, metrics analysis, customer insights and design experimentation. Able to synthesize multiple sources of input and arrive at high quality decisions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, product, and project leadership skills. Minimum requirement to be proficient internally and externally communicating about product.
  • Comfortable engaging at executive levels in large enterprise organizations to influence and provide strategic insight. Able to balance strategic thinking with execution focus.


  • Experience with B2B and B2C ecommerce. Exposure to supply chain management, compliance, risk mitigation, education and/or healthcare industries, working with or within large organizations, would be beneficial.
  • Familiarity with the evolving healthcare regulatory, experiential and industry landscape would be impactful.
  • Exposure to current and upcoming technology trends relative to the ease of integrated data transfers, data visualization, mobile, accessibility, personal information security, and compliance standards.
