Senior Product Manager (Recommendations)
Our Opportunity:
Chewy is seeking a Senior Product Manager to join the Discovery Product Team focused on Recommendations in our Bellevue, WA or Boston, MA office. In this role, you will unleash the power of data to help pet parents keep their pets healthy, happy, and active. Recommendations are an integral part of caring for your pet; and you will help Chewy take this experience to the next level making it easy for Pet Parents to find the right care and products. Even if our customers don’t know exactly what they’re looking for, sniffing it out is our problem, not theirs. We meet our pet parents and animal caretakers where they are with products, information, and services tailored to their needs. You will own a roadmap informed by quantitative and qualitative insights, supported with clear business and technical requirements. You will collaborate with data science, category management, veterinarians, analytics, machine learning, merchandising, marketing, and software engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions for pet product discovery.
What You’ll Do:
- Use your customer first mindset to guide the development and delivery of best-in-class customer experiences for discovery of new products and services on Chewy
- Drive 0-1 product development: rethink the way we use data and delight Pet Parents with a personalized experience catered to them
- Exhibit a strong sense of ownership and superior communication skills with senior leadership (including C-suite) on a regular basis
- Define and analyze measures of success (KPIs) for new features and enhancements; transform these customer and business insights into clear requirements for product enhancements and new features
- Develop and maintain a roadmap and prioritized product backlog ensuring product vision aligns with both customer and business goals
- Monitor performance of your product(s) and measure impact of product enhancements; communicate impact clearly across the organization and use to drive prioritization
- Partner with Data Science team to facilitate data collection and experiment objectives
- Drive continuous improvement in experiment processes for entire Discovery organization partnering closely with engineering to deliver frequent A/B tests
What You’ll Need:
- 6+ years of experience, 3+ in eCommerce or B2C product management
- BS in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred
- Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights
- Aptitude to analyze, communicate and present metrics effectively to support recommendations
Bonus (if applicable):
- Familiarity with machine learning, taxonomy, and/or data-driven modeling for eCommerce
- Demonstrated passion for digging into details to resolve customer pain points
- Fluency in SQL and/or Tableau
