What is a Sr Product Manager of Platform Engineering at SpotHero?
SpotHero is seeking an experienced platform product manager to build out the future of our company’s backend systems. This role will be essential to improving our monolith, assessing when new services will make our company more efficient, empowering engineers on other product development teams, and building relationships with partner company product teams. As the Senior Product Manager of Platform Engineering, you will get the chance to build the foundation that powers our front-end applications and our partner applications helping drivers to find their best parking space.
What you will get to do:
- Lead the research, ideation, and creation of vision, strategy, and roadmap for our Platform Engineering squad.
- Work with SpotHero’s Consumer Web, Mobile Apps, and Data Engineering teams to provide a seamless parking experience for drivers.
- Work closely with Business Development on partner engagement, leading to supporting partner integrations definition, delivery, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders from Product and Engineering leadership, Business Development and Operations.
- Manage technical build decisions against business requirements and opportunities.

What you bring:
- 5+ years of experience working in product management working either on a feature team that interacts frequently with backend systems or having built those services and APIs.
- You’ve previously launched and iterated on a product or service while in a high growth or scaling environment.
- Knowledge of backend systems and an understanding of what feature teams need to successfully work with them.
- Ability to translate research and metrics into hypotheses that help inform what needs to be built in order to solve future customer and company needs.
- You are extremely customer focused with a track record of driving results based on their needs and challenges.
- You are innately tech savvy, and you have a willingness to learn and share learnings with others.
- A true team player - you speak and lead with humility putting the needs of the team first.
