Senior Manager, Workplace Financial Solutions Product Strategy (Remote)

WFS Product Strategy is responsible for evaluating 3rd party and proprietary investment-based products and solutions and then determining how to strategically offer them through WFS: (i) to grow the core WFS businesses, (ii) to extend the end-client relationship to the rest of Schwab, and (iii) where appropriate, to enable the distribution of Schwab asset management and advice capabilities.
The Sr. Manager, WFS Product Strategy will work across three distinct business units, Retirement Plan Services, Stock Plan Services and Compliance Solutions to provide the best products and solutions to help clients reach their financial goals. The Sr. Manager, WFS Product Strategy will report to the Director, WFS Product Strategy.
What you are good at
The Sr. Manager, WFS Product Strategy will be involved in the ongoing analysis and development of high priority business and product strategy initiatives. This will be done through developing and maintaining an understanding of strategic issues as well as product and distribution industry trends. This role involves close collaboration with multiple partner organizations across Schwab as well as those external to Schwab. This person will be expected to simultaneously be involved in multiple projects and will be involved in projects from the brainstorming phase and strategy assessment through launch.
This individual will be engaged in:
- Evaluating how to leverage new and existing investment products and resources to enhance the value proposition of the WFS business units and provide better outcomes for clients
- Building business cases, financial analyses, and proposed project plans for consideration of new investment product offerings
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional groups across Schwab to access capabilities and align on prioritization and strategic imperatives
- Prioritizing and structuring project plans and guiding teams in project execution to translate strategy into successful implementation
What you have
- 10+ years of financial services experience.
- 5+ years of experience with Workplace / Retirement products preferred.
- Solid knowledge of investment products and financial planning. CFA, CFP or other advanced degree / certifications a plus.
- Comfort in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
- Outstanding analytic strength, high attention to detail and interpersonal skills, including written (including presentation decks) and verbal communication skills.
- Strong strategic communication skills, able to influence partners and stakeholders.
- Natural ability to build relationships, both with industry participants, and with the business units, product management and product development groups within Schwab.
Colorado Compensation
Target Total Compensation - 95,700-210,500
