The Global Product Management team oversees the ecosystem platform that leverages and integrates Motorola Solutions’ portfolio of products and applications from communication, video, and software. The Product Management team is responsible for bringing the broad ecosystem to market, collaborating sales and channels as well as evangelizing the portfolio. This includes reviewing market opportunities and disruptive technologies to build successful portfolio strategies, closely working cross-functionality with Product Engineering, Marketing, Regional Channel, Finance, Operation, and Value Streams to successfully deploy value-add customer outcomes to the board Ecosystem.
Job Description
The demands on safety and security within the Education vertical continue to evolve, requiring more technology, automation, and services to meet the ever-changing need within the market. The Education Solution Manager is a seasoned individual who will bring key insights into the organization about the Education market and customer needs for their security operations, and utilize those insights to help us optimize our portfolio to deliver the broader ecosystem that uniquely addresses the Education market.
Responsibilities of the Vertical Solution Manager include but are not limited to:
Developing a strategy, including near-term and long-term opportunities, and working across the organizations to build acceptance and execution on this strategy
Closely working cross-functionally with product engineering, marketing, regional channel and sales, finance, operations, and value streams to successfully deploy value-add customer outcomes to the board ecosystem.
Leveraging existing market insights as well as listening to customer needs and pain points, assessing a market and competitive landscape, and translating insights and data into development requirements and prioritization across multiple product teams to drive business success
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
The ideal candidate would have the following proven skills:
Education market insight focused on safety and security with a strong focus on customer outcomes
Business results orientation; driving incremental growth and market adoption
Establishing product direction and requirements based on customer feedback, market research
Publicly presenting product information to individuals and groups of various backgrounds
Works effectively across the organization to build support from partner teams
Developing and maintaining key relationships with customers and thought leaders to gather relevant feedback on products.
Product management experience taking a product from concept to launch
Developing and analyzing business cases for product development efforts
Data-driven decision-making skills
Previous experience with Product, Services adoption within Education Vertical
Experience launching products into a channel partner or distribution network
Effective teamwork and collaboration
Self-starter with a focus on innovation
Setting strategic direction for products in the education segment
Assess and address technical risks
Launching new products and managing the full lifecycle for products
Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations
Accountable for the commercial success of products
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in the Education industry
Vaccine Requirement
