HP Boise site is the commercial print core location for regulatory compliance and quality standard testing. The selected candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary and energetic technical local team working towards common and technically challenging objectives. The skilled specialist will contribute to the development of new concepts/techniques and to complete assignments/tasks in innovative and effective ways.

Scope of responsibilities

The project development team(s) need to be able to ship new products world wide at the conclusion of the development cycle. The printer must be of the highest quality and reliability possible. This position helps to verify the regulatory and environmental compliance to laws and specifications. It is the responsibility of the Product Reliability Coordinator (PRC) to ensure that the engine complies with regulations and specifications by mass production, and the complete product complies by mass release. The PRC owns the compliance of the engine. She / He is responsible for the completeness of the test plan and communications on a regular basis to the engine team and Test Center management as to the state of compliance of the product.

Primary duties:

  • Provide appropriate representation in engine team meetings.
  • Develop the engine / formatter regulatory and environmental test plan, by development phase.
  • Organize and direct the technical activities necessary to complete the suite of tests according to the test plan.
  • Prepare monthly status reports.
  • Keep management informed of any (potential) problems.
  • Establish and maintain test status workbooks / matrices
  • Write test requests, schedule tests with the test center, in order to meet project schedule and objectives.
  • Configure and trouble shoot printers as appropriate.
  • Provide the Test Center Program manager / Project Management Team (PMT) representative with the necessary data to report on the status of the product prior to each checkpoint meeting.
  • Coordinate the document(s) review for assigned project within the Test Lab.

  • Attend and participate in Program Management Team meetings at the request of the Test Center Program manager / PMT representative.



Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Electronics, Mechanical or Computer Sciences (or equivalent). A four-year degree in other areas will be considered.
  • Aptitude for configuring and troubleshooting electronic equipment; printer experience would be a bonus.
  • Proficient with MS Excel
  • Ability to be flexible and versatile in your approach to work.
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.



Work shift

  • Day Shift: Primary schedule majority of time 7AM - 3:30PM M-F.
  • Day / Swing Hybrid Shift: (During peak test demand season the PRC team members will work hybrid shift Option A or B)
    • Hybrid Option A: 3 weeks Day Shift and 1 week Swing Shift (1:30PM - 10PM) in a 4 week period
    • Hybrid Option B: 3-to-4 days per week Day Shift and 1 - 2 days per week Swing Shift (1:30 - 10PM)



This position requires the candidate to work onsite at the HP Boise Campus.
