Product Lead, Rider Growth

At Lyft, our mission is to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. To do this, we start with our own community by creating an open, inclusive, and diverse organization.

The Product Management team works closely with our engineers to guide products from conception to launch, and with our business partners to generate profitable revenue streams and grow market share. You will be responsible for bringing exceptional strategic and analytical skills to define our strategy and lead our execution in this highly cross-functional technological area. Through your leadership, you’ll bridge technical, business, and operations worlds as you design technologies with creative and prolific engineers, leverage your technical expertise to identify setbacks and roadblocks within a project and generate solutions for resolving them quickly. You will have a bias for action to break down complex problems into steps that drive development at Lyft speed.

As the product leader for Rider Growth, you’ll be responsible for growing Lyft riders by developing scalable & efficient growth tactics across the rider lifecycle. In this role, you will lead the teams responsible for incentives, partnerships, bundles etc. You’ll set the strategy across all of Rider Growth, and be responsible for managing PM direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • As the product leader for Rider Growth, you will set the strategy across all of Rider Growth by building & managing our entire portfolio of rideshare growth levers.
  • You will be our guardian for our Rider base: define rider value, scoring, ranking, attributes, habituation metrics and work with partner teams to develop strategy to win riders
  • You will be responsible for the growth levers lifecycle: new growth investments and depreciation of existing levers: Rider Acquisition, Activation, Retention & Habituation
  • You will lead the PM team responsible for our Rider growth & levers (Incentives, Bundles, Partnerships etc) and the coordination of products and systems across these domains.
  • You will align with offering Eng/Sci/Design leads to be jointly responsible for OKRs and end-end success of Growth levers, including unblocking resource needs, prioritization decision making and escalation/alignment across RSH teams.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management, product design or equivalent consultant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing product managers
  • Passion for Lyft and what we are trying to achieve in sustainable urban transportation.
  • Natural ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized and structured way. Be able to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products.
  • Excellent judgment and thoughtfulness about the dynamics of a product ecosystem.
  • Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users, to press, and other audiences.
  • Experience leading post-launch optimizations including developing testing strategies.
  • Ability to conceptualize, manage and prioritize multiple projects for stakeholders.
  • Detail oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you

Benefits:

  • Great medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • Mental health benefits
  • In addition to 12 observed holidays, salaried team members have unlimited paid time off, hourly team members have 15 days paid time off
  • 401(k) plan to help save for your future
