Product Compliance Submissions Officer
Summary
The Submissions Officer is responsible for managing all product compliance requirements pertaining to Gaming Devices / Systems submissions and approvals by the various regulatory authorities in North and South America that the company operates in and may potentially operate. Acts as the liaison on behalf of the company for all inquiries from gaming regulatory personnel, both technical and administrative, as they pertain to submissions for Gaming Devices / Systems.
What you'll do

  • Contacts gaming laboratories and regulatory staff to facilitate product approvals. This requires a sense of urgency when responding to questions, gathering or producing.
  • Provide the Company with continuous product status reports and provide information in regards to submissions as required.
  • Via company sales activity, field activity and regulator requirements - ensure you are proactively driving priorities in line with the best interest of the business.
  • Stay in tune to the business product needs to ensure priority is given to those submissions specifically tied to revenue generation and timelines relating to planned revenue targets.
  • Prepares submission packages for Aristocrat products. Ensures the efficient, effective, and timely preparation, logging, and follow through of Aristocrat Electronic Gaming Devices / Systems, including software, hardware, firmware, mathematics configurations, and artwork. Stay in tune with the overall business objectives to ensure complete saleable products are approved, and market approvals are effectively prioritized.
  • Produce and perform submissions to regulatory agencies. This includes leading a cross-functional team of employees from R&D, Technology Services, Manufacturing, and Sales for major submission projects, including but not limited to new products and technical platforms.
  • Establishes and maintains on-going dialogue with the regulators and third-party regulatory contractors to ensure good relations with all pertinent regulatory bodies.
  • Support management and technical resources in negotiating resolutions to issues raised by regulatory agencies with company's products - provide assistance in research and collection of information needed to lobby or address regulation and desired changes Aristocrat may be pursuing.
  • Maintains the compliance database with accuracy for approved, submitted, withdrawn, and revoked product in a manner in which is informational for the entire company. This data is subject to audit at any time by regulatory agencies.
  • Maintains a high degree of knowledge for activities going on in all assigned jurisdictions in regards to regulations and requirements pertaining to company products.
  • Perform basic research and support technical resources by providing information and insight. Ensure the follow through so that full visibility and project management is engaged through the process.
  • Ensure path to approvals is facilitated by the various gaming authorities that regulate gaming in locations that the company operates and may potentially operate.
  • Utilize this knowledge to improve products and help others most effectively design and respond to market requirements.
  • Pursue appropriate support from Technical Resources then follow up for ensuring final resolution.
  • Support and suggest productivity improvements for product submissions as they pertain to electronic gaming devices, systems and peripheral equipment. This includes removing and eliminating barriers to entry for sales of product being submitted.
  • Supports procedures and processes to ensure product approvals, issues, revocations, announcements, and bulletins are technically accurate and handled in a diplomatic fashion according to the respective jurisdiction.
  • Be proactive in advising the company departments regarding business practices in North and South American jurisdictions as it relates to their individual regulatory climates and requirements. (Escalate issues as they become aware).
  • Advises the VP of Product Compliance and Managers on trends/patterns that affect the approval of products by regulatory agencies.
  • High performance means High Quality and exceptionalism. Manages quality assurance and maintenance of all documentation that is provided for regulatory submissions of all Electronic Gaming Devices, including software, hardware, firmware, and peripheral equipment. This includes documentation of all verbal communication done externally with regulatory bodies concerning technical concerns with our gaming device products.
  • Other duties as assigned.


What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree recommended or experience in Compliance or related field
  • Demonstrable skills in the Microsoft Office Suite; particularly: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • History of integrity in various organizations
  • Ability to bridge the gap between dollars/cents and lines of code; you will be required translate business needs to technical requirements.
  • Good Product Management is all about identifying "market problems" and working with your counterparts in Engineering to solve them.
