Block Renovation Product Analyst

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Product Analyst to evolve how Block leverages data and analytics to shape our product discovery and roadmap. You’ll become an expert on how homeowners, contractors, and our internal team interact with our platform to deliver a predictable renovation. A renovation cycle can last months. Because of this, your role will be important in helping define and measure key lead metrics that inform the north star of the platform. 

In this role, you will:

• Become an expert in our product platform to handle KPI reporting and provide visibility to metrics across the technology team and organization
• Take ownership of translating broad questions into actionable research plans, proactive data exploration, and storytelling to communicate results in an effective way
• Define lead metrics and perform analysis to connect technology to larger business impact
• Generate quantitative insights to inform product direction and opportunities
• Create and iterate on processes and systems for a scalable analytics practice across the technology team
• Partner with product managers to define common user paths and actions, outline event tracking, and promote quality data collection
• Advocate for data-driven culture across company

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in statistical data analysis, multivariate testing, and storytelling the results to a variety of audiences
• Technical Skills: Power SQL user, dbt, lookml, Python experience preferred
• Curious and resourceful: Willingness to work with the team to develop ways to understand and refine any business areas that are data sparse  
• Grit: Proven track record of delivering outcomes through continuous improvement
• Clear communicator: Ability to articulate priorities and succinctly present analyses and insights across the organization
• Experience or interest in the construction industry is a plus
