Position Summary:

As a Product Analyst within the Institutional Market Technology (IMT) Group Benefit Enrollment value stream, you and your team will play a critical role supporting the Group insurance employee enrollment customer journey and drive increasing insurance participation rates across Life and Supplemental Health products. In this role, your work will support the success of the Group Insurance business line and Business Services partners.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Collaborate with Product Owner and business partners to identify and elicit business and customer needs and work with the agile team on identifying solutions.
  • Research and deliver high-quality documentation of feature requirements including relevant dependencies for new product/feature ideas. Also identify and document acceptance criteria
  • Translate product features requests into development stories with Product Owner & Engineering guidance
  • Partner with a Product Owner on day-to-day development team needs including answering developer questions, removing blockers, and providing input on testing strategy
  • Collaborate with Product Owner, agile team, business stakeholders, and other teams to refine user stories and get them ready for development while also identifying dependencies, risks, and other concerns.
  • Assist in implementing client facing technology supported by product team.
  • Work with the Product Owner to prioritize development team backlog spanning product-driven and tech investment stories, considering a variety of factors such as priority, effort/cost, complexity, dependencies, and business and system impacts.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation of system and business processes.
  • Grow and maintain knowledge of product, plans, business processes, and system applications.
  • Grow and maintain awareness of trends in the employer benefits business and technology space.
  • Build strong relationships with team members, business users, stakeholders, subject matter experts, vendors, to help navigate through problems, decisions, and related implications.

  • 1+ years of experience working in an agile environment preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create requirements documentation and stories for a software product
  • Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere
  • Strong analytic skills with attention to detail and natural curiosity
  • Ability to clearly and effectively articulate thoughts and points in a collaborative atmosphere
  • Technical aptitude to understand platform solutions and how those solutions interrelate with other internal/external systems or solutions

Physical job requirements:
  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
  • Ability to utilize telephone for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to perform grasping tasks throughout the entire work day (examples: handwriting, grasping of equipment/machines, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, handling stacks of paper)
