Position Summary


The Gopuff product catalog team is looking for a seasoned product leader who enjoys solving complex business problems that have outsized business impact in a hyper-growth environment. You will own the key systems that dictate what product facts and merchandising information show up on every Gopuff shopping surface, from search results pages to product detail pages. This role connects directly to key Gopuff growth initiatives including both category and regional expansion. How do brand partners make their products available for sale through Gopuff? How do products make their way through Gopuff’s supply chain? How do our shopping customers find and discover their immediate everyday needs? The impact of your work on Gopuff’s product catalog will inform the answers to those questions, and so much more!


Principal Product Managers at Gopuff serve as the agile product owner for one or more scrum teams. In addition to leading your cross-functional teams to meet roadmap objectives, Principal PM’s are expected to take on high-visibility projects that influence business objectives throughout the company. You will become a domain expert and proactively drive innovation in product catalog systems. Success of this role is measured by daily purchase conversion rate, average order value and customer order frequency / return rates. In addition, this role will have operational responsibility for the various aspects of our product catalog including maintaining high coverage rates on key product metadata as well as ensuring short onboarding times for new product SKUs.


We have hubs in Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco, NYC, LA, Austin, Boston, and Chicago, and are location-agnostic for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the customer discovery, solutioning, and implementation of product catalog innovation to power Gopuff’s high-growth eCommerce business
  • Manage multiple, concurrent initiatives in various phases of ideation, execution, and delivery
  • Develop operational efficiency to bring the highest quality products to market in the least amount of time
  • Create multi-quarter roadmaps and socialize them with executive leadership
  • Manage the financial aspects of your product portfolio which includes, budgeting, forecasting, etc.
  • Develop deep partnership with teams of marketers, engineers, designers, researchers, and analysts to uncover insights and opportunities that shape your strategy and prioritization
  • Be proactive about customer needs, don’t wait for others to make a request

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management with a focus on building world class digital consumer products.
  • Customer-obsessed with a passion for transforming customer needs into an actionable product vision
  • Strong user experience/design sensibility, with a record of shipping delightful products
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytic capabilities, and attention to detail
  • In tune with emerging technology and consumer trends, with a knack for seeing around corners
  • Demonstrated ability to create an environment that fosters data-driven experimentation at high velocity
  • Has a technically relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Zero-to-one product marketing experience, launching a new consumer product
  • Deep knowledge of the retail, and/or e-commerce ecosystem
  • Experience with using customer research to learn customer needs and product value, with demonstrated ability to influence product roadmap
  • A strong leader and excellent communicator who can drive consensus and articulate program recommendations and tradeoffs to senior executives
