About the role

Gopuff aspires to be a customer centric, data-driven company. This role is central to that goal and will contribute to the core infrastructure to drive analytic decision-making across the product organization. The Manager will oversee a team of analysts aligned to a specific product team , establish KPI’s that effectively drive the product development process and guide strategic decision-making. 

The Product Analytics Manager, and their team, will be expected to provide thought leadership in the areas of product behaviors and effectiveness, design ongoing experiments/research, and develop decision-rubrics to guide product development/optimization.

The work should inform questions such as:

What are the right metrics to track and to optimize for?

Are products performing as expected? 

Are products delivering the intended value to their Gopuff and their intended users? 

Did a particular product feature improve, harm or have no impact on the intended issue?

Was the product launch successful?

Responsibilities

• Align with product and develop deep product knowledge at the analyst level
• Partner with PM’s and key stakeholders to develop metrics that accurately reflect performance of the product(s)
• Provide product team with data for decision making

Requirements

• 5+ years of product analytics experience Superior analytic skills (SQL, R, Tableau, Python and Statistics)
• Advanced degree in analytic discipline (Econ, Stats etc.) strongly preferred
• Proven ability manage analytic teams in a startup and tech environment
• Experience working closely with engineering and PM teams
• Passion for analytic rigor and measuring what matters
