The Regional B2B Product Manager is a strategic role that requires strong leadership and execution skills, with high expertise and knowledge in cards B2B products and solutions to accelerate development of use of Cards in this space. Individual will be responsible for the B2B strategy in alignment with global strategy and tropicalized to local capabilities, overseeing the execution of business-critical initiatives, product positioning, business management, and ensuring Citi's leadership position in the B2B Commercial Cards space.

Individual closely follows latest trends in the use of Cards in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally and externally, often at a senior levels. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Partners across product disciplines, assists in managing the overall performance of a given product suite and monitors performance drivers for the products and portfolios
  • Responsible executive for driving B2B business development, growth and performance results
  • Oversee the regional product strategy for a portfolio of B2B commercial card solutions and services, including traditional Purchasing Card solutions as well as emergent solutions such as the Citi Virtual Card Account (VCA/VPA), Straight Through Processing Solutions with buyer-initiated "push" payments, and Supplier Acceptance development.
  • Expert resource for B2B Commercial Cards both internally within Citi and to the marketplace, working with Cards Product, Product Sales, Account Management, and functional teams across region and markets
  • Execute B2B strategy, tactically adjusting aligned to market capabilities, internal and external factors, ensuring proper market support for continuity of flows and sustainability
  • Work with internal partners and build a strong network across Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS), Institutional Clients Group (ICG), and the Commercial & Consumer Banking (CCB) groups as needed including client sales and coverage teams to drive the growth of cards within the broader B2B space.
  • Manage the product-level relationships with the Networks, work with internal partners to develop third-party relationships on the B2B side, and ensure Citi is well-positioned externally, with industry groups, analysts, and consultants, as a leading B2B player around the world.
  • Oversee B2B product/capability enhancements and innovation for Investment Spend, Project Prioritization and BRD requirements to reflect client solution needs and above competitive environment
  • Develop B2B playbook and required PAP updates to ensure local Product / Sales / Banking teams and support areas (LIH, Sykes, CAS) are aware of product/functionality/feature changes and that receive adequate training
  • Provide "Hands on" support to markets for Key Revenue Initiatives interacting with External partners (Networks, acquiring, payment partners) to solve for complexity as well as internal stakeholders in Market Management, local Sales / Banking teams, joining client meetings clients as necessary
  • Closely liaise with IBRC, Legal, Risk and Compliance teams to operate under a risk controlled environment, appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Maintain strong network with Implementations, Operations, Service and Tech to ensure timely and pristine E2E execution on B2B client solutions
  • Interacts and continuously leverage support from middle and back office (Legal, Compliance, Finance, Treasury) to ensure achievement of objectives with the appropriate Risk/Return balance and profitability.
  • Role will have daily interaction with local, regional and global teams
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.



Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Level of expertise and demonstrated experience in Product Management and/or Product Development discipline
  • Experience preferably in Cards, Trade and B2B solutions framework, regional / multi market role a plus
  • Strong Leadership and Communication skills, with proven ability to manage and influence teams directly / indirectly
  • Analytical thinker, strong Problem solving and Negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and results oriented team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Experience with and confidence in delivering presentations to clients and senior managers



Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
  • Fluent in English and Spanish - Verbal and Written
    Portuguese considered a Plus
