The Enterprise Product Owner uses operational experience and strategic planning expertise to guide initiatives to maximize the business value delivered by the team. The Enterprise Product Owner possesses an in-depth knowledge of the vision, goals and desired objectives of the initiatives and acts as the first authority for decisions regarding business value and functionality for all the work done by the team. The Enterprise Product Owner works to establish the vision, set prioritization, eliminate obstacles, maximize the ROI and is the voice of the stakeholders and sponsors. The Enterprise Product Owner is a leader in the team's leadership triangle; a servant leader, effective communicator and accountable to the team.

What you'll do:

  • Works as the Product Owner for a stable team to convey the vision and maximize the business value delivered by the team. Acts as a fully integrated team member.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
  • Is always accessible and participates proactively and constantly in team activities including release planning, sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews/demos, retrospective and other scrum-related meetings.
  • Responsible for representing the customer and balancing the stakeholder's expectations and interests across the enterprise. Leads the demos and represents the team at Enterprise Scrum of Scrums.
  • Defines Acceptance Criteria and "done" for the team. Accepts or rejects work. Creates, grooms and prioritizes the backlog.
  • Participates in the Product Owner Community of Practice.
  • Inspire and motivate the development teams to deliver innovative and exciting solutions with an appropriate sense of urgency and promote continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage projects with a moderate level of unknowns and scope that lead to an increase in complexity.
  • May be responsible for the administration of one or multiple systems
  • Mentor level I product owners

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelors Degree. Experience leading the translation of software features into technical requirements (Features) following Agile Scrum based Software development.
  • Business process experiences in marketing, or product management, or operations (Enrollment, Finance, Customer Service, Claims, etc)
  • Software release planning and execution experience in application development or business system analysis.
  • Project management experience, preferably using an agile/scrum based methodology.
  • Program stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated servant leadership and coaching skills

The strongest candidates for this position will also possess:

  • Experiences in training/facilitation is preferred.
  • CSPO or CSM certification desired.
