Summary

The Digital Product Manager plays a critical role in delivering and maintaining our digital product roadmap. This role understands customer and business needs and works across the matrix to document these as functional requirements to ensure that the product vision and goals are accomplished through the delivered digital capabilities. The role also represents the voice of the business within the agile teams to move delivery forward in alignment with overall product vision and strategy. This person should be highly collaborative with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and able to build and maintain strong relationships across the organization.

Qualities for success include the ability to navigate complex tasks without supervision, prioritize competing needs of business and products, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities

LEVEL I
• Serve as lead liaison for assigned digital product(s) with the agile teams, maintain understanding of the product roadmap and how this will contribute to the digital strategy and roadmap.
• Collaborate with Team Product Owner (TPO) and Domain Product Owner (DPO) to complete required deliverables as part of the digital domain intake and backlog management process.
• Lead the gathering and defining of high-level business requirements and the prioritization of the product backlog. Elicit requirements from business stakeholders using document analysis, requirements gathering meetings, UX research and business process analysis. Participates in Digital Product Agile Team demos and validation of features and user stories.
• Partner with the TPO and DPO on translating features into user stories within a team's backlog and managing the rank and priority within backlog so that it is reflective of stakeholder requirements and priorities.
• Drive and manage the solution concept development process to ensure the TPO and DPO understands the direction and vision for the product & features.
• Creates vision boards, as a tool to define "epics," and acts as the business contact for the agile teams (voice of customer).
• Work with business subject matter experts to understand a product feature's rank, prioritize business needs, and plan solutions to ensure that each release provides value to end users.
• Works closely with the digital engagement team to create training and communication materials for new product/capability launches.
• Attends and actively participates in cross-functional meetings and projects.
• Build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the success of the products.
• Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies' mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.
• Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.
• Performs other functions as assigned by management.

LEVEL II (in addition to Level I responsibilities)
• Maintains product roadmaps and lifecycle manages product features by actively contributing to enterprise digital strategy roadmap and domain backlog.
• Serves as subject matter expert on products capabilities, features, and functionality.
• Builds ongoing relationships with relevant business partners to ensure future support of assigned products and keeps key stakeholders informed throughout product lifecycle.
• Manages, on an ongoing basis, suite of products throughout their lifecycle, regardless of whether there are active work items associated with those products.
• Critically evaluate information gathered on 'mature' products from multiple sources (business, CX, UX etc.) to identify gaps and ensure work is added to digital backlog to address them.
• Works within practices and policies for writing, updating, and managing requirements to ensure repeatable processes and delivery of value.

LEVEL III (in addition to Level II responsibilities)
• Poses comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the entire digital product catalogue and design; able to identify and articulate the impact product changes could have to the overall digital product portfolio.
• Able to connect the dots between various stages of the products' lifecycles, keeping the team informed with regular overviews of the digital ecosystem.
• Understands each team member's product portfolio at a high-level to contribute to the overarching strategy and offer mentorship and guidance as needed on managing and maintaining products at various points in their lifecycle.
• Applies advanced knowledge of product lifecycle management and knowledge of desired digital experience and health insurance industry to lead transformational digital product initiatives that span multiple functional areas and represent significant investment spend.
• Plays a lead role in projects that have significant impact to the company, both at strategic and execution levels. Able to influence and drive change among key stakeholders. Interacts regularly with business partners at Director/VP level, presenting recommendations and statuses.

Minimum Qualifications

This description includes multiple levels of classification. The levels of classifications are differentiated by demonstrated knowledge, skills, and the ability to manage increasingly independent and/or complex assignments, broader responsibility, additional decision making and, in some cases, becoming a resource to others. New hires will be placed in the level for which they are most qualified based on their experience, credentials, and skills.

LEVEL I
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of related business experience. In lieu of degree, a minimum of 6 years of related business experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and relationship building skills. Ability to analyze information from various sources.
• Strong, demonstrated ability to independently manage long-term projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong presentation skills with the ability to present information in a clear and concise fashion.
• Ability to work independently and part of a strategic team.
• Ability to think strategically and deal effectively with all levels of management.
• Forward-thinking mindset, comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and excellent influencing skills.

LEVEL II (in addition to Level I)
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in Business/Marketing/Product Management or related field. In lieu of degree, a minimum of 8 years of related business experience.
• Two (2) or more years of experience as a program manager, with demonstrated accomplishments delivering project features/capabilities.
• Experience as an Agile Product Owner or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of health care products and industry preferred.
• Ability to self-educate on trends, training, and research in the digital and product management field.

LEVEL III (in addition to Level II)
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Business/Marketing/Product Management or related field. In lieu of degree, a minimum of 10 years of related business experience.
• Three (3) or more years of experience as a program manager, with demonstrated accomplishments delivering project features/capabilities.
• Experience as an Agile Product Owner or equivalent required.
• In-depth knowledge of health care products and industry.

Physical Requirements

Occasional travel required.
