As part of this mission, Chewy Health is hiring an Associate Director, Product  - Healthcare Services in our Bellevue, WA offices to make Practice Hub a central part of how Veterinarian practices of all sizes operate.  Practice Hub connects millions of Chewy customers directly to their trusted, local veterinarians by combining our industry leading prescription management tool (Petscriptions®) with a vet-only marketplace on Chewy.com.    This new service enables millions of Chewy customers to purchase pet medication directly from their veterinarians while shopping on Chewy.com, with fast, free shipping directly from Chewy’s nationwide network of fulfillment centers

This leader will own defining and implementing the product strategy for the Practice Hub platform and the vet-facing services we offer through it,  including building in-clinic experiences that make it easier for vets to write and manage pet prescriptions, manage their pharmacy business on Chewy, and maximize their earnings by selling through our vet-only marketplace.  Additionally, this leader will play a key role in conceptualizing and building the next generation of services we offer to vets and pet parents.  The Associate Director, Product – Healthcare Services will be a team leader and mentor in a high-pace environment demanding clear and effective leadership. 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Practice Hub and related vet-facing healthcare products & services
  • Be the expert in the needs and value drivers of veterinarians, their employees and their customers:  Triangulate those insights, with product usage data, industry/consumer trends and competitive insights to identify features and enhancements that improve end-user experience and drive the business
  • Guide the development of product and solution requirements, working backwards from the customer.
  • Lead cross functionally with teams of designers, engineers, TPMs, analysts, and marketers to deliver projects on your roadmap while cultivating and maintain a positive, inclusive and upbeat culture that brings out the best in people
  • Identify, size and shape new opportunities to solve problems for vets and pet parents, and influence investment choices that will provide long-term innovation in the space
  • Lead and develop a world class team of product managers; Partner with recruiting to identify and close top talent
  • Communicate product strategy and status to key stakeholders across Chewy

What You’ll Need:

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or similar discipline
  • 8+ years of overall experience; 4+ years in product management in an engineering or business capacity
  • 2+ years leading a product or engineering teams; experience leading leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, develop, deliver and scaling high-impact products or services for B2B or B2B2C channels that deliver measurable customer & business benefit
  • Track record of building high-performing product or engineering teams, including hiring, developing and retaining top PM talent
  • Proven track record of managing and executing large projects from start to finish, including project management, data gathering, identifying and mitigating development and implementation risks, problem solving and communicating recommendations
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
  • Demonstrated success in building a culture of experimentation, learning, and innovation
  • Inspirational leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit   
  • Position may require travel

Bonus:

  • Experience with launching new technology products/services to veterinary clinics OR medical practices
  • Strong understanding of the overall pet care industry and recent trends
  • In depth experience and understanding of the veterinary profession in the US; DVM degree is a strong plus
