Job Description
Salary Range:
The expected pay range for this position is $155,000 to $175,000 yearly. The pay will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Overview:
Join our remote/collaborative team as an experienced Product Transformation Manager supporting a federal client. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing, driving, and facilitating product transformation initiatives to ensure the successful adoption and implementation of the organization’s migration to product-based practices from project-based practices.
Responsibilities:
Core Product Management Experience:
- Product Lifecycle Management: Proven experience managing products through the entire lifecycle, from ideation to sunset, with successful product launches and iterations.
- Roadmap Development: Ability to create and manage a product roadmap, aligning with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Market Research & Analysis: Experience in conducting market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscapes to inform product strategy.
- Requirements Gathering: Skilled in gathering, defining, and prioritizing product requirements, translating business needs into clear and actionable product features.
Strategic & Analytical Skills:
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience using data analytics to inform product decisions, track KPIs, and optimize product performance.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including customers, developers, and executives.
- Strategic Thinking: Experience developing and executing product strategies that align with the overall business strategy.
Agile & Lean Product Management:
- Agile Methodologies: Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) for product development, including backlog management and sprint planning.
- Lean Principles: Familiarity with Lean product management practices, focusing on delivering value efficiently and minimizing waste.
User-Centered Design:
- Customer-Centric Approach: Proven track record of incorporating customer feedback into product design and development, ensuring products meet user needs.
- User Experience (UX) Design Collaboration: Experience working closely with UX/UI teams to design and deliver intuitive and engaging user experiences.
Communication & Leadership:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and support.
- Clear Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for articulating product vision, strategy, and updates to diverse audiences.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Experience mentoring junior product managers or leading product teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Technical Acumen:
- Technical Understanding: Solid understanding of the technical aspects of product development, including familiarity with software development processes, APIs, and platform architectures.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., Github) for managing roadmaps, backlogs, and product documentation.
Adaptability & Continuous Learning:
- Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing market conditions, business priorities, and emerging technologies.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience in Product management
- Understanding of Agile practices and techniques.
- Strong understanding of Product management methodologies and best practices.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Desired Skillset:
- Product Management certification is a plus.
- Experience with an Enterprise Agile implementations is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or Business field of study
Clearance Requirement:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Active Public Trust clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
