About Aladdin & Aladdin Accounting
Aladdin is our operating platform to manage financial portfolios. It unites client data, operators, and technology needed to manage transactions in real time through every step of the investment process. Aladdin exists so that every financial professional can understand investment decisions and act with clarity.
Aladdin combines sophisticated risk analytics with comprehensive portfolio management, trading, and operations tools on a single platform to power informed decision-making. Aladdin Accounting extends the scope of Aladdin, providing our clients a single, front-to-back investment platform with comprehensive investment accounting. The platform builds a connective tissue for thousands of users investing worldwide.
Job Scope
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to run quality checks including, testing, maintenance, and quality of our investment accounting platform i.e. Aladdin. The individual should come with core domain experience and knowledge in Investment Accounting/QA for investment accounting platforms.
Key Responsibilities

Ensure the quality of Aladdin Accounting platform
-
Ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and client experience for our applications in Production.
-
Collaborating with various teams to build scalable solutions for APG.
-
Expanding test coverage and preventing defects from hitting Production.
-
Executing regression tests and maintain regression suite.
Desired Qualifications
-
5-8 years of work experience in the financial services industry
-
Experience with a variety of accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP, Local GAAPs) as they pertain to investment accounting
-
Strong understanding of double entry Accounting for transactions and financial statements.

Experience using OMS / Accounting systems and/or successful track record in technology implementations of investment software
-
Good understanding of financial statements like - Balance sheet, Income Statement, Equity / AOCI, Cash Flows, Footnotes
-
Experience with accounting processes including reconciliation, ledger/trial balances, income analysis, accounting elections or accounting interfaces/reporting.

Understanding of corporate actions.

Deep understanding of asset classes (Securities, Alternatives, Mortgage Loans, or Derivatives)
-
Well-organized with the ability to prioritize with a hands-on approach, ability to schedule and manage tasks effectively, conflict resolution, problem solving, risk management

Understanding of SQL
-
Full professional proficiency in written/spoken English
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced and highly complex environment.

Experience with metrics-based decision-making and data-driven analysis.
Good to Have
-
Experience in Software QA and all types of testing (Functional, Regression, Smoke, Sanity etc)

Understanding of ADO and UNIX
-
Familiarity with product and software development lifecycles is a plus
