As a Product Testing Intern, you’ll be hands-on in validating UAV systems through both ground and flight testing. This role combines engineering with field work — expect a significant amount of outdoor testing in varied conditions and locations. You’ll help ensure our systems are reliable, safe, and ready for use in real-world firefighting scenarios.
ResponsibilitiesExecute test cases for UAV ground and flight operations
Assist in flight testing, including setup, execution, and teardown
Collect, analyze, and document results in test reports
Assist in Design and build test fixtures to support repeatable, reliable testing
Work cross-functionally to diagnose and resolve system issues
Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
Strong mechanical aptitude, experience in repairing / building (e.g. bicycles, cars, equipment)
Coursework in mechanical design, electrical systems, and statistics
Strong interest in hands-on testing of complex hardware/software systems
Ability to write clear and structured test plans and reports
Comfort working in outdoor environments
Bonus:
Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash) for test automation
Experience building and piloting hobby UAVs
