Position Summary:

The Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities to increase sales of parts, service, maintenance programs, and other product support offerings. This role focuses on maximizing customer uptime, equipment reliability, and overall satisfaction through proactive support and consultation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management

 

    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with assigned customers within a defined territory.
    • Conduct regular on-site visits to assess equipment condition and discuss maintenance needs.
    • Serve as the primary contact for all parts and service-related inquiries.

 

  • Sales and Business Development
     
    • Identify opportunities for parts, service, and maintenance contract sales (e.g., PM agreements, rebuilds, component repairs).
    • Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and value-added solutions to customers.
    • Achieve or exceed sales and profitability goals for assigned territory.
       
  • Technical and Product Knowledge
     
    • Maintain a strong understanding of equipment operation, maintenance requirements, and available service programs.
    • Work closely with the service department to schedule inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
    • Assist customers with warranty information and equipment performance recommendations.
       
  • Reporting and Administration
     
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities in CRM systems.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly territory reports for management review.

Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on new products and programs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in equipment, construction, or material handling industries preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of heavy equipment or industrial machinery.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
