Product Support Engineer (Customer Support)

We are currently seeking a Product Support Engineer to join the team in Toulouse, France​. The candidate will work in conjunction with customer engineers and maintenance personnel to manage, plan, research, develop, analyze, and design modification and repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, safety and company requirements.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Air France facility in Toulouse, France.

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position will access and analyze applicable documents and drawings and coordinate recommended change packages with customer and Boeing engineers.
  • Provide technical support, guidance, and expertise to customer operational and maintenance personnel. This includes but isn't limited to technical queries related to operation and maintenance of the systems, identification, and resolution of common issues, and explanation of the system architecture in relation to the aircraft configuration.
  • Assist with interpretation of technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings. Including, but not limited to, providing guidance on the correct interpretation and application of technical documentation, collaborating with the customer to ensure compliance with technical documentation during maintenance activities, assisting with technical documents related to product modifications, and attending required meetings, as defined by the customer.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, or foreign equivalent.
  • 8+ years experience with drawing systems and interpreting drawing and document details
  • ABILITY TO OBTAIN Secret NATO Security Clearance or equivalent upon start
  • Candidate and any accompanying family members must meet requirements for French visas
  • Familiarity with U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and technical data export control
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime including rotating shifts
  • Experience with structural engineering and defining structural repairs to achieve "same strength as" repairs
  • Ability to clearly document (with sketches and pictures) aircraft damage
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Cultural and communication skills allowing for positive team building with foreign customers
  • Ability to obtain a medical certificate to fly on French Air and Space Force aircraft to assist with overseeing troubleshooting issues
  • Ability to read, write, and conversationally speak French

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with commercial derivative military aircraft
  • Experience on 707-based aircraft and AWACS and its mission systems
  • Experience with aircraft jacking

Work Authorization:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in France. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in France. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
