Summary

The Product Support Analyst (Market Data) will sit within Cassini’s Product Team, serving as the subject matter expert for all market data flows across the platform. The role's purpose is to ensure Cassini's data infrastructure works as intended end-to-end – from upstream vendor sourcing through to downstream consumption in Cassini's calculations.

The person in this role will develop deep expertise in the data that powers Cassini's platform, understanding every upstream source, transformation, and downstream dependency. They will use this expertise to own data quality, resolve data-related issues, and drive improvements in how data is sourced, maintained, and monitored.

Full Time – Chennai central office location.

Working Hours – 10:30am – 7.30pm

Role

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own Cassini's market & reference data function end-to-end:
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of all upstream data sources and vendor feeds.
    • Monitor data quality and proactively identify and resolve gaps, anomalies, and failures.
    • Ensure downstream data flows function as expected.
  • Act as the second-line escalation point for market data related issues from Support & other client facing teams. Distinguish between upstream data failures, transformation issues, and configuration errors. Resolve issues or clearly communicate root causes and resolution steps to relevant teams.
  • Track, triage & escalate data-related insights to the appropriate vendor, product engineering teams. Identifying recurring data failures, coverage gaps, or possible enhancements to data pipelines.
  • Reduce repeat issues/queries and improve first/second‑line resolution rates by contributing to and maintaining data‑level support documentation, user guides, and internal runbooks.

 

Tech Stack

We work with an exciting, modern stack built for scale, reliability, and productivity. To be successful in this role, you’ll need solid experience with some of the core tools, platforms, and technologies we work with:


  • Jira, Confluence and the agile workflow
  • Figma, Lucid and other wireframing tools
  • Generative AI tools

 

A basic understanding of our technology stack is also helpful, although not essential:

 

  • SQL databases
  • AWS infrastructure
  • Python
  • APIs / SFTP

 

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstratable technical skills (SQL, Python, similar).
  • Demonstratable experience using (AI) tools to fast-track tasks, automate processes and solve problems.
  • Exceptional written & verbal communication skills.
  • 3+ years of experience in a BA/Technical Support role for a software / data firm.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills & Experience

Experience with or understanding of:


  • Market data, reference data and risk data – sourcing, vendors, and data quality management.
  • Relational and time-series databases.
  • API Interfaces & API Client Software (Bruno/Postman/similar).
  • Data vendor platforms (Bloomberg, Refinitiv/LSEG, ICE, or similar).
  • Preferred
  • Post-trade lifecycle components (clearing, settlement, risk, margin, collateral).
  • Cleared OTC, bilateral and ETD derivative products.

  • 3+ years in a BA/Technical Support role for a software or data firm
  • Demonstrable technical skills with SQL
  • Demonstrable technical skills with Python
  • Solid experience with Jira, Confluence and agile workflow
  • Experience using generative AI tools to automate tasks and solve problems
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
