About the Role

As a Product Specialist part of the Special Markets team, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of product delivery & business development associated with our Special Markets business unit, in addition to working with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and deadlines. The successful candidate will work alongside their management team to perform product testing, audio system design, creation & delivery of product training, develop product definitions, product presentations, business cases, competitive analysis, and written materials that support the growth of our business unit initiatives while developing an understanding of customer and market needs. She/he will be an integral member of our team to help meet customer expectations based on clear objectives from the business unit leadership.

What You Will Do

  • This role will support the overall business strategy and drive tasks to deliver these strategies with a high level of technical acumen in the 12V electronics industry focusing on car, marine, powersports, and recreational vehicles.
  • This is a global role working with regional sales teams to develop new business opportunities and provide excellent internal & external customer support to drive all aspects of the business. Key regions; America, APAC, China, India, and Europe.
  • Manage and support the needs for Special Markets customer needs, both locally & globally. Including, but not limited to:
    • Support/manage customer demonstration needs, POC system development, and product demonstrations.
    • Maintain Special Markets tuning calendar and provide local & remote on-site customer support.
    • Identify, manage, and distribute internal & external product samples.
    • Clearly communicate market & customer requirements.
    • Provide concise presentation materials on market overviews and business opportunities, with regular updates for many cross-functional team members.
  • Responsible for all aspects of global product support, including the creation of training materials, providing product training, creation of audio system design, performing product testing, product installation support, providing technical support & troubleshooting support, and others as assigned.
  • Support with developing customer-specific assets & product decks for RFQ/RFI/GTM activities.
  • Regional training, training materials, training support, tradeshow & events support.
  • Assisting product applications specialist with website maintenance and support.
  • Social Media & Content Support.
  • Managing day-to-day tasks assigned by the Global Sales Manager, Director of Special Markets, or Senior Vice President of Product Development.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3 years of related consumer electronic product management and marketing experience in mobile aftermarket products.
  • Project Management Skills: Exceptional planning and organizational skills. Experience participating in matrix, global, and cross-functional teams, which require collaborative planning with members of other sales groups, product groups, operations, marketing, etc.
  • Results and detail-oriented while holding others accountable for commitments.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite (specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required.

What is Nice to Have

  • A degree in a technical, electrical, or engineering-related field
  • Knowledge of audio systems and installations of marine, automotive, Powersports, and RV.
  • Prior experience in sales and marketing.
  • Demonstrated track record of growth, with high customer orientation skills and the capability to achieve a high level of strategic thinking.

  • Proficient with the English language.
  • Ability to pick up a box of 10kg, or more.
