About The Role

We are looking for a Product Software Engineer & PoC to join Ferrovial's Asset Management & Process Digitalization team within the Innovation Directorate.

In this role, you will help shape the future of Asset Management by leading the evaluation, development, and deployment of innovative digital solutions across Ferrovial's global businesses. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, Generative AI, Digital Twins, IoT, and emerging technologies, transforming ideas and Proofs of Concept into scalable solutions that create real business value.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong and innovation-driven professional who enjoys working in multidisciplinary environments, exploring new technologies, and leading complex initiatives from concept to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of Asset Management programs and innovation Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external technology partners to design and deliver scalable digital solutions.
  • Review and validate technical specifications, solution architectures, and deliverables from vendors and development partners.
  • Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
  • Assess, pilot, and deploy emerging technologies, including Generative AI, Digital Twins, IoT, XR, and advanced analytics solutions.
  • Design, develop, and integrate APIs using REST and GraphQL technologies.
  • Support software deployment processes across development, testing, and production environments.
  • Evaluate and implement Large Language Models (LLMs), AI-assisted development tools, advanced prompting techniques, and AI architectures.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Ferrovial's digital and AI strategy, leveraging technologies such as Azure AI Foundry.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation across Asset Management and Operational Technology platforms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing software solutions that improve business processes.
  • Strong software engineering background with hands-on experience in Python, JavaScript and/or Java.
  • Experience designing, developing, and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience working with data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cosmos DB.
  • Experience managing technical vendors and collaborating with distributed development teams.
  • Understanding of DevOps methodologies and software release management processes.
  • Practical experience with Generative AI technologies, including LLMs, RAG architectures, MCP, and AI-assisted coding.
  • English level B2 or above.
  • Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with Azure AI Foundry, AI Workbench, and enterprise AI platforms.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Field Service).
  • Experience with IoT, Digital Twins, and Asset Management platforms.
  • Familiarity with Predictive AI solutions and advanced analytics.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Understanding of software engineering governance, data security, and GDPR principles.
  • Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
