Job Description:
The Product Quality Engineering Manager, working within the GO&T Quality Organization, will be responsible for the Product Quality engineering team in Limerick. This is a leadership role requiring close engagement with ADI Business Units as well as Product Quality teams across the ADI sites and regions. Facilitating interaction with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Customer Quality Engineering will make collaboration, influencing skills, decision making and effective communication a must. The ability to manage multiple product strategies and projects simultaneously to stay on schedule will make the job fast paced at times.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Oversight of Product Quality Engineers (PQE) during customer issue resolution process (FA/CAPA) to ensure effective containment, risk management, root cause, corrective action and prevention.
- Ensure deployment of and facilitate effective use of appropriate problem-solving tools.
- Drive lessons learned and preventive actions back into the new product introduction process to continuously improve new product quality and risk management.
- Champion best in class product quality performance (PPB) through 8D problem solving, prevention and continuous improvement.
- Support Product Quality as part of the New Product Introduction process.
- Provide regular quality performance reports and quality issues status reports to GO&T and BU senior Management.
- Serve as a key contributor to the Global Quality organization through effective collaboration across Customer Quality, Failure Analysis, Manufacturing Quality, Quality Systems and Reliability Engineering.
- Participate in strategic planning and driving business & quality process improvement.
- Develop team skills including professional and personal development plans.
- Mentor and coach PQE Engineers to their full potential.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an Engineering, Physics, or related discipline.
- 10+ years’ experience in Semiconductor related design, product engineering, test engineering or related disciplines, or manufacturing.
- Experience with quality problem solving tools, the 8D process and Quality systems.
- Both analytical abilities and effective communication skills at multiple levels of an organization.
- Project management skills with experience in achieving milestone in a team environment.
- Experience in managing and coordinating teams across multiple disciplines is desirable.
- Experience with Automotive requirements and product development processes is desirable.
- Travel 5-10% as required.
