SMX is looking for a Project Manager to join our team and lead several ongoing projects supporting the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) and Department of Defense (DoD) with SW Development to support their Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) analysis needs. The ideal candidate is well versed in Reliability and Maintainability Engineering concepts and is comfortable managing a diverse team of technical experts in product delivery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- The R&M Project Manager responsibilities will include:
- Manage the delivery of SW products to government customers that support their mission needs to analyze the needs for reliability and maintainability of new and existing Aircraft, Ships, and or Weapons Systems
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules and cost baselines • Interface with Government customers to refine requirements, asses satisfaction with current products and determine the needs for enhancements or new products.
- Manage subcontractor and supervisor SMX personnel supporting the projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Clearance Required: Secret
- Required education: MS Degree in an Engineering Discipline, Master’s Degree in a Technical Discipline, or Master’s Degree in a Business Discipline. A Bachelor's and 4 years of additional experience can be substituted for the Master's Degree.
- 10 years of experience in a combination of Reliability and Maintainability Engineering, Logistics, Systems Engineering, SW Engineering and/or Project Management.
Desired Qualifications:
- An active Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Experience with SW Development in an Agile Framework
- Experience with Reliability and Maintainability Engineering for Aircraft, Ships, and or Weapons Systems.
- Experience with managing DoD Contracts and Acquisitions to include Subcontractor Management.

$119,200—$198,700 USD
