Description

The Product Program and Retail manager participates in the implementation of tactical and strategic plans for the product program planning and retail. This includes communication and execution with council volunteers, girls, partners, and staff as defined by the Director of Product Program and Retail.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain the functional plan and development of the product program and retail (e.g. timelines, program launches, promotion launches)
  • Maintain a working knowledge of online systems that support product program activities and effectively communicate and train on these components
  • Assist in preparing statistical reports on the council’s product program and retail areas, including but not limited to product orders and deliveries, earned recognitions, marketing, and training
  • Manage relationships with cookie booth locations, communicate with contacts, and schedule booths for troops
  • Oversee product program and retail cases within Salesforce and respond to or reassign case owners as appropriate
  • Oversee and respond to posts on the program product and retail Facebook groups
  • Implement and support long-range goals, objectives, and plans for council product programs
  • Support and adhere to the annual operating budget for product program and retail
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to fulfill product program initiatives 
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of retail products; overall and in different delivery channels, i.e. Store, Van, Storage
  • Support product program events – i.e. mega drops, girl reward programs, regional meetings etc.
  • Act as a point of contact for Membership Engagement Team, as it relates to product program and retail
  • Hold open office/call hours during peak product program season
  • Assist in the design of training manuals and online training that are concise and easy to follow
  • Work with the Director of Product Program and Retail to maintain business relationships with the fall product, cookie, and retail vendors
  • Provide professional, quality customer service to all customers (i.e. members, volunteers, staff, and other community contacts)
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Demonstrate commitment to the Girl Scout mission by representing GSHPA in a positive and professional manner
  • Work independently with limited supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of council-wide initiatives and/or cross-functional teams to further the mission of GSHPA

Requirements

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field required
  • Demonstrated experience in sales and customer service preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and virtual meeting platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively identify, analyze, and solve problems
  • Possess and maintains a valid driver’s license; access to reliable transportation required; ability to drive a cargo van to events for retail sales
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
  • Work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and ages in a professional manner
  • Use sound judgment and critical thinking skills when decision making
  • Strong public relations skills and ability to develop community collaborations
  • Travel throughout the council, as needed
  • Lift/Carry 30lbs
  • Sitting, Standing, or walking for a moderate period of time
