What you'll contribute to

The Product Planning & Development (PPD) Division is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all product activities in order to ensure new products are optimised to meet the future needs of customers.

The Product Planning Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the development of mid-long term product planning recommendations and vehicle safety solutions to bring to market highly desirable products that maximise TMCA and Dealer profitability and achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets in the long term.

This role is based in Altona North and is on a Max term basis.

How you'll make an impact

  • Implement mid to long-term product and vehicle safety planning processes to achieve customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability objectives in line with company policies.

  • Collaborate on the development of recommendations for product planning and vehicle safety solutions, utilising market and product research to enhance customer satisfaction, desirability, and long-term success.

  • Coordinate local responses to product planning requests, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure cohesive and aligned strategies across vehicle models.

  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, identifying issues and recommending solutions to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Analyse business improvement opportunities across the product planning unit, leveraging advanced systems and tools to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and statutory requirements, minimising risk and supporting operational rules for product planning fleet activities in accordance with regulatory standards.

Your attributes – If you've got one or more, we'd love to hear from you!

  • A degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing or product planning, ideally within the automotive industry.

  • A solid understanding of automotive systems and technical terminology.

  • Knowledge of the sales and marketing process.

  • Experience in market research and financial analysis (desirable).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
