Define and priorities the squad/product backlog
•Managing the backlog to decide on what gets built next. Product Owners break down user needs into clear, actionable tasks and priorities them based on what brings the most value.
•Proposes the scope for MVPs/releases considering existing resource constraints and sustained development of the product. Ultimately accountable for the scope.
•Gets consulted about all the key BAU decisions
Collaborate with stakeholders
•Product Owners are the connection point between the team and everyone else—from customers to business leaders.
•Gather valuable feedback and insights that shape the direction of the product.
•Provides input and gives product perspective on any risks and dependencies on control functions. Responsible for coordinating the grooming of the stories once he/she gets the requirements from the BA.
Create and share the product vision
•Having a clear product vision is one thing—getting the whole team behind it is another. Product Owners set that vision and make sure everyone understands where things are headed and why.
Support the development team
•Whether clarifying a feature, answering quick questions, or helping clear up blockers and helps maintain flow and keeps the team focused and confident.
•Supports the Scrum master (SM) on the squads' ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, reviews and retros.
•Manages delivery dependencies on other squads by taking part in the PO sync and other cross-squad ceremonies
Track performance and make it better
•Use performance and UBA metrics to see what’s working, what’s not, and where there’s room to improve. These insights help guide backlog and roadmap inputs and ensure the product evolves to meet user needs and market changes

Requirements
•Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business) or equivalent practical experience.
•10+ years working as a Product Manager, Product Coach, Product Owner, or in a similar role within an agile product development environment.
•Proven track-record for scaling product success practices enterprise-wide.
•In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, and preferably SAFe, and their practical application in product development.
•Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and guide individuals and teams toward achieving their goals.
•CSPO/ACSPO or any equivalent product management certificates is preferred.
Skills Required
- 2-4 years of experience as a Product Owner
- In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principals
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities and negotiate a backlog with engineers and leadership
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience working with Jira
